Overview

The VoiceSolo FX150 is a personal PA & monitor that is simple to setup, and provides accurate monitoring for performers on stage. The VoiceSolo FX150 features a 6.5" Tannoy 2-way coaxial driver powered by 150W Class-D amplifier, providing crisp, clean sound so you can hear all the subtle details of your performance, helping you sound your very best. There's also a 4-input digital mixer with built-in effects including reverb, compression, and an adaptive EQ. The FX150 easily attaches to mic stands without any additional accessories required, allowing for optimal placement anywhere on stage or even in the studio, and its versatile design supports wedge monitoring and mic stand-mounted PA and monitoring positions.

Outstanding Vocals, Tone and Reverb
We know vocal processing better than anyone, and it puts FX150 way ahead of the pack. Press "Vocal Tone" and you get intelligent EQ that adapts automatically to your voice and adds compression, de-essing and gating for a tight, professional sound.
In addition you have the choice between 9 studio-grade REVERB styles to add that extra sheen to your vocal performance - or your instrument sound.

It's All in The Mix
VoiceSolo FX150 hands you the controls to dial-in a superb personal mix on-the-fly. With an ultra-low noise, 3-channel digital mixer it offers independent 3-band EQ on each channel and fast editing control of all features. It's as easy as pressing the button for the level or parameter you want to change and then using the universal "Edit" knob to fine-tune the mix to your ear's delight.
You can also connect your mp3-player to the Aux input and rehearse with your favorite tracks using the "Voice Cancel" feature to seamlessly blend in your voice.

No Assembly Required
If you've ever owned a mic stand-mounted speaker before, you know setup can be an ordeal. You risk either losing the custom adaptors or get hit by the swinging boom arm when trying to screw on the unit. Our Easy Grip mounting system lets you set up in seconds - no special parts or time-wasting assembly needed.

Simply snap the FX150 onto the mic-stand and it's show time! Furthermore, the special monitor design allows for accurate wedge angling, stand-alone or desktop placement.

Not Just for Vocals
We believe that for a PA system to be truly personal, it must cater to all aspects of your performance - not just vocals, even if this is your main use for it. This is why you'll find that not only is FX150 the ideal Full Range Flat Response (FRFR) system for your guitar, it faithfully delivers the deep Oomph of bass like you would not believe.

This speaker is just what I wanted. One time I took my guitar into a bar and started to play and sing. I stopped short. My voice sounded like Alvin of the chipmonks (Chippendale? Whatever). My guitar sounded very strange. It turned out their sound system/PA was totally inadequate. I never want that to happen again. Some places got decent sound/PA system. But I want my sound to sound like it does at home when I practice. No surprises like reverb I cannot control. Enter TC-Helicon FX 150! Totally works for this singer/song writer. And the sound it sweet. I worried that it might be too small. Not a problem. Very loud for its size and I haven't clipped it yet. Solid full spectrum sound. I run both my guitar and my voice through it. I can even plug my guitar directly into it but I send my guitar through my preamp stuff first. Works great. Really easy to set up too. Technology continues to make life better for musicians. Very well balanced and well designed piece of equipment. Larry Woods from Guthrie Oklahoma

    Hey Gearheads,

I would recommend you to steer clear from TC-Helicon's products. I had a bad experience with their personal monitor products. I have two, the TC-Helicon VSM-300 & VSM 300XT's (the prior versions of there new FX150 series). The units listed for over $500.00 each. One failed on me after a year, it would go from very soft to extremely loud causing feedback just out of the blue. It was out of warranty, so they offered a $130.00 flat service fee to fix this unit. So I sent the unit out to their Southern California TC-Group service facility from South Florida paying the shipping fees to their center. After a month I got it back and it had the same problem as when I sent it, so I was out the $130.00 service fee and $60.00 in shipping the unit back and forth. I was so tired after months of wrangling with them and going without a monitor, I just gave up and bought another personal monitor (different brand) and put this one up on the shelf. Then later their other unit developed the exact same problem of going from very soft to extremely loud for no apparent reason. But before I just went out and purchased another personal monitor I thought I would give them the opportunity to try to give me a reason why I should buy their products. The response was unfortunate, I talked with a "Customer Care Specialist". Nelson who promotes this weird idea that all equipment will fail after a period of time, and he would not take any responsibility for the fact that both units had failed in exactly the same way, and also their service facility had failed. So if a company that stands behind its products is important to you I suggest you steer clear of TH-Helicon.

Very good sounding and well designed small monitor

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceSolo FX150 150W Personal PA & Monitor:

I got this to go along with my TC Helicon Voicelive 3. I play guitar and sing but mostly work with other singers. In this setting I plug my Voicelive.3 into the FX150's third channel and that gives me my processed guitar and voice plus two more excellent sounding channels with reverb and that oh so cool vocal mic processing. The mix comes out of an XLR at the back to send to the house PA or my Bose L1 compact if they don't have one. Very easy to set up and it just sounds wonderful! Also sounds really great with my keyboard.

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceSolo FX150 150W Personal PA & Monitor:

This monitor has exceeded my expectations. Its like a mini PA all by itself. It not only works great in its capabilities as a stage monitor, but also has built in reverb, has three inputs, including two dual XLR/quarter inch inputs and 3.5 stereo input for what ever. Easy to use, adjustable on the fly simply touch a button, it flashes and use the knob to dial the amount of gain or reverb or eq setting that you desire. Done. The sound is very clear and has plenty of volume for the bar gigs that my band plays. Mounts easily and firmly to a mic stand.

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceSolo FX150 150W Personal PA & Monitor:

I wasn't sure this would be durable enough or have enough volume, but I was pleasantly surprised. The body of the monitor is relatively strong for molded plastic, and the volume is quite good in a 2 guitar bass, drums & keys band playing 60s & 70s deep cuts. I run my vocal through a Helicon GTX into the FX-150, then on to the PA. I also have the monitor mix for the other guys plugged into the minijack on the back with it's path to the mains switched off. I get great volume for my vocals as well as for the other singers in the band. I mount it on a mike stand usually, and it is very stable with a tripod boom stand. We play moderately loud, but it always cuts through.
When I go home, I set it up in the living room for my wife and daughter to sing Karaoke along with YouTube. With the capability of mixing two mics, as well as adding reverb, they love the unit, and have a lot of fun with it.
DO get the optional case, it is padded and will keep your FX-150 in top shape for a long time.

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceSolo FX150 150W Personal PA & Monitor:

            Pros:
TC-Helicon products have always been quality. This FX150 is no exception. Lots to say here, I will try to keep it on track. Out of the box it is rugged, user friendly and aesthetically appealing. The 3 band EQ and FX are really a great feature. Both are fully adjustable. Over all sound quality is good with full range EQ as expected. The 3 channels are very nice and easy to use. The 'More Me' allowing gain adjustment for vocalist/instrumentalist apart from the house mix is fantastic and works well. Although it does have a 'Vocal Tune' feature it seemed to degrade the power output. The clip 'Red' light illuminating when input distortion is present is a plus. XLR and 1/4 Phono combo plug in work well. It does have an on/off switch., another plus. External power transformer with 3 prong A/jC cable is a nice feature considering that makes the monitor housing smaller. Phantom power is also another plus. Mounting on a mic stand was a breeze. I did find out that using a separate boom mic stand was better for me to mount the FX150 to since I could lower the boom on the stand to almost the floor if I wanted and/or position it anywhere on that boom as needed. This means using two boom mic stands but hey, more gear is good, right? Works good as a separate amp for instrument or vocal practice. Weighing in at 6 3/4 lbs it is not too bulky.

            Cons:
A little under powered. I find I have to use near full power on both the individual channel and master gain controls for adequate output volume. The mini plug in the back is nice however a 1/4 phono input would have been a better choice or both. When you consider you may very well plug an instrument into this channel the mini plug seems a little wimpy. The metal grill over the speaker is sturdy but rattles at high gain. Some of that rattle is from the TC-Helicon logo plate and some of it is the fact that the grill is contacting the monitor housing. Needs to have some chaff material to eliminate this rattling.

I have used for a week only and I can say that it helps me tremendously when I'm practicing vocals with backing tracks. I haven't used it on band practice or live performances yet, but I think it will work fine. I'm also planing on using with my acoustic/electric guitar to better evaluate it.

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceSolo FX150 150W Personal PA & Monitor:

I bought this to use as a personal monitor mounted low on a mic stand. I thought the tone controls for each channel would be a big plus and it could be used as a mini mixer. It would have been a good product, but it was very not very reliable for me. The volume would change on its own sometimes and the tone controls didn't work well for me. It also didn't seem very loud. I returned this unit and got a Mackie SRM 150 instead and although the tone controls are global for both channels on the Mackie, the sound and volume are superior. I like having individual physical dials instead of the menu driven system that this unit uses. No unreliable volume changes and far more clear and present with the Mackie unit.

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceSolo FX150 150W Personal PA & Monitor:

Bought this to use as a personal monitor. It also works well as a practice amp and small PA. This is the second unit we bought, the first had a grill rattle. The unit is small and light.

Overall, it is a very clear and clean sounding PA with some nice features. It is an exceptional personal monitor. It's lack of Bass and Mid Bass really limit it as a PA, but it's small and these limitations are to be expected.

The reverb patches and various connection configurations make is very versatile.

I wish they would have put the phantom power button further away from the power On button. They are both tiny little buttons and I often hit the wrong one. The phantom power button creates havoc with the system if you re jumping off of another speaker or coming from the board. Other than that it is an excellent product and 5 stars are appropriate- just had to get used to checking that button every time I turn it on.

FX-150 was what I needed for a vocal hotspot monitor, and also for keyboards. HOWEVER, four weeks after I received it, the power supply went dead, right before a gig. Not good, especially when I can't find a replacement power supply ANYWHERE!

So far, the Helicon seemed to cut through pretty well at practice. I was impressed because we are extremely loud at practice, so I'm thinking it's probably going to do a good job on stage.

I love that I can have the main mix and come through and add more of me (my microphone) it helps me tremendously! Plus the vocal processor built into this makes my voice sound better.

I mainly bought this unit for my acoustic electric guitar and it works great. Very natural, full and detailed sounding. It can get loud....amazingly loud for such a small unit. For me the other channel for vocals or a house mix to blend in is icing on the cake. This thing is the Swiss army knife for performance. The only knock I have is if it is loaded with all 3 channels at high volumes the volume surges occasionally. Backing off the input gain usually rectifies the issue. I wish GC would offer the gig bag for it also.
