The VSM-300XT VoiceSoloXT Active Personal Monitor from TC Helicon offers improved sound, better looks, and a lower price than the original model. The VSM300XT monitor lets you hear the stage mix you need without all the feedback! You get intelligible, natural vocal sound thanks to an ICT (Inductively Coupled Technology) point source driver; a rugged, efficient cast aluminum enclosure; and a clean, quiet 150W BASH amplifier with a built-in limiter. Non-electrical methods are used to couple the tweeter with the woofer making the tweeter indestructible.
The VoiceSoloXT Active Voice Monitor mounts on your mic stand with included hardware to save floor space. Attach the hardware to your stand once, and the monitor will pop on and off. It also rocks back to 3 different angles on the floor. Features mic and line inputs and a pass-thru to connect additional VSM-200XTs (sold separately) or VSM-300s in parallel. A front-panel volume control lets you decide how loud you want your monitor mix and does not affect the level going to any other monitor or the mixing console.
The VSM-300XT monitor speakers are portable and versatile because your monitoring needs can vary by venue, the size of your group and the level of your performance or practice. The VSM-300XT can be used in numerous mounting positions including the highly practical method of integrating VoiceSolo into your boom mic-stand, saving stage space. However, conventional options can also be used like the floor wedge position, on a stand without a boom, or stand mounted for side fill or small PA.
Quick mic stand set up. Integrates with boom so the same stand is used for the monitor and microphone.
Versatile placement options provided by dual stand mounting holes and dual bevelled edges for floor mounting.

TC Helicon has put out another great product! Don't let the price discourage you from getting this. The quality and the features you get, makes it a worthy investment. I use this monitor with my acoustic rig. It's very versatile and easy to use. The best thing is, it's small and light. Not like a bulky, heavy wedge monitor. The VoiceSolo XT is powerful too. The greatest feature IMHO, is that you can place it at ear level, and make all your monitor adjustments all within arms reach. This is key for me since I perform while sitting. The sound quality is second to none. You'll never get that kind of quality out of a wedge monitor. If you are looking for a monitor that allows you to get the perfect mix, make adjustments on the fly when you need them, and the sound quality you deserve and expect, then get the VSM-300XT. It's helped me sound my best. I haven't been disappointed. I'm sure you won't be either.
I play drums and sing in a loud classic rock/pop cover band. On some songs I sing lead vocals and on others I sing background vocals. We have two electric guitar players and a bass player, and one of the guitar players switches between guitar and sax. Besides me on vocals, our guitar/sax player and our bass player also take turns on lead vocals and background vocals; we do lots of harmony parts. We used to use floor wedge monitors, but now we're using 3 of these TC Helicon personal monitors. We need to get one for our other guitarist too! You won't believe the sound quality and the difference it makes in your performance. You can turn yourself up or down as needed, or turn up or down the rest of the band, without affecting the house mix. We can't believe how clear and clean our stage mix is now. Our bass player struggles to sing loudly enough, and we've had to turn up the gain on her vocal channel so high that we would get feedback as her mic was picking up the sound from the old floor wedge monitors. Not anymore! She sounds great now and we can all hear each other perfectly. No more feedback! These new personal monitors are lightweight and very versatile. I mount mine facing straight at me under my boom stand since I'm sitting down at the kit, and the guitar/sax player and bass player mount theirs angled up towards them under their boom stands. I highly recommend these monitors!
This speaker is not durable. I elevated it slightly and 5 min. later it toppled. The back of it completely smashed in. The surface wasn't hard. The place I was at saw this gadget and thought it would get the job done. For this amount BUY A REAL MONITOR! This is for Karaoke.
I have used these monitors since the first versions and have upgraded to the new VSM 300XT. In my opinion for $199.00 there is not anything that comes even comes close to the preformance and crystal clear vocal and acoustic tone you will get from these guys. The connection box that comes with the 300s is so useful. I found if you have preamps already like we do for you vocals and instruments you can get away with useing it in place of a PA and mixer for coffee shops and practises. For bigger shows we use a bose L1 system and these are perfect for personal "more me" monitors (with your own mix available) with that setup. I dont know what to think about the post that states one guys voice solo fell over on the stand on soft surface and the back caved in...No way I see that happening Mine have been knocked over multipule times and never "caved in" these are made of aluminum, very light wieght and way strong overkill almost in my opinion.
