An excellent vocal tool for the stage

I like digiTech units, but this unit is even better by far. This is an incredible sound processor which is phenomenal for stage use. It cost much more than most units but it is well worth the cost, trust me go out and test it for your self. The unit can thicken a weak voice giving it more body, turning a decent vocal to a great vocal performance. The unit is easy to use and it is built like a tank (this should be gig worthy for many years). The unit has pitch correction (which I always like to have handy) and it works very well. The 4 part harmony can help out by adding backup vocals (which I need since my band members can not sing at all). If you can afford this unit I would highly recommend it.

Awesome...

This is a great vocal floor processor. The only irritation is that they do not provide for an XLR effects output. The XLR is only for passthrough. The reason for this seems to be that they have provided for 1/4" left and right outs for stereo use, but I have found that mono is more than good enough for small gigs and small boards. Otherwise, this thing is fantastic. Unlike some other comments here, I did not find the learning curve that steep. This thing is about as simple as a vocal processor can be and still perform at this level. Can't wait for the MIDI guitar harmony add-on!

OK, but not meant for me. I returned for a refund.

Had one for a short time. Excellent construction quality, excellent features overall in effects, reverb, and sound quality of harmonies. But: I returned it and have ordered the Helicon Harmony M instead. The one show stopper is that this device doesn't "retune" when you go out of a preset chord progression. Example: Default setting in key of C is to recognize 3rd and 5th harmonies for these chords: C, Dm, Em, F, G, Am. If you play a Dmaj, A maj, or Emaj in the song, your third cannot adjust: for Dmaj, the 3rd harmony stays on F instead of F#. You can either pre-program EACH SONG to recognize the differences (cumbersome and non-spontaneous for a product named "Live"), or buy a MIDI device for a couple hundred extra $$ that translates your chords on the keyboard to actual harmonies so you don't need to pre-program. The M does this automatically with no extra device for $200 less. Yes the M has fewer bells and whistles, but this "retuning" function is ESSENTIAL to a live performer, and the literature and videos don't tell you this shortcoming until you own the darn thing. The manual is ambigious in its descriptions; TC Helicon tech support did not respond to my inquiry on this or one other issue. This device would be great in a recording studio with plenty of time to program. It's not great for adjusting live with someone who might play from a very expansive set list or with audience requests.

OUTSTANDING!

I've had this for a week now, and already employed the VoiceLive in a couple of shows. It's AWESOME! I'm still learning, but with just the presets, I've added quite a lot to our performances. I'm the lead vocalist, and the other guys can sing okay, but there's nothing like having the perfect harmony at the touch of a button. I know the learning curve is pretty long for the programmed stuff, but I'm actually looking forward to it. Great buy - I would recommend this to ANYONE who is considering it.

Sweet piece of gear

This is one sweet piece of gear! If you have the cash to spend on it, you get what you pay for! Live and recording applications are very impressive! I wont leave home without it playing a gig or in the studio!
