TC Electronic introduced the original TonePrint line of pedals back in 2011 and instantly they became a success, with a no-nonsense approach to the essential functions that guitarists want, along with the ability to load TonePrints from the megastars of rock royalty.
Not just standing still, we now present Viscous Vibe - an absolutely fastidious digital recreation of the original analog Shin-Ei Uni-Vibe. Viscous Vibe brings all of TC Electronic' dedicated DSP and programming know-how into a compact pedal. With the added ability for guitarists to create and design their own pedal via the TonePrint editor, this makes Viscous Vibe perfect for anybody who wants to implement truly authentic and classic vibe tones into a modern-day pedal board.
Where Technology and Tone Meets
The original Shin-Ei Uni-Vibe is a highly unique, complex and gorgeous-sounding analog unit, so when TC Electronic set out to recreate it digitally they knew it wasn™t going to be easy. Through countless hours of meticulous side-by-side testing with the real thing and by pushing their insanely powerful DSP to its very limits, they™ve been able to recreate this legendary effect to a tee. You™ll get all the lush, syrupy vibe tones heard on countless tracks by Pink Floyd, Robin Trower and Jimi Hendrix and when you dive into that opening Machine Gun riff, you™ll be convinced they nailed it.
Vintage Vibes and Modern Strides
With Viscous Vibe you get the best of both worlds in a pedal that perfectly combines old analog warmth with modern-day functionality. With True Bypass for uncompromised tonal quality and stereo I/O for an ultra-wide sonic perspective, you get the perfect pedal for everybody who wants to implement classic-rock tones into their contemporary setup.
TC Electronic's proprietary TonePrint technology is just another upside to this already amazing pedal. So if you feel like making that stock vibe tone sound a little more like ¦ well, you ¦ then hook it up to their free TonePrint Editor and enter tone-tweaking heaven. On top of that you can also beam custom-made vibacious tones straight through your pickups and into the pedal via their free TonePrint App.
The Viscous Vibe is mapped out with the same controls as the original Shin-Ei Uni-Vibe, but has some nice modern features as well.
How fast do you wanna go? Dial it back for an amazingly lush and warm sound, or go full-on for those intense and mind-bendy classic rock tones.
Go from wide warbles to syrupy sweet swirls in an instant with this knob.
This controls the overall mix between your dry sound and the Vibe effect. Crank it up and get instant Hendrix tones, or dial it back a bit for those glorious Gilmour sounds.
Switch between the two classic Shin-Ei Uni-Vibe sounds for either a thick and phasey chorus tone or an amazing swirly vibrato. Flick the switch to the middle position for your very own take on this legendary effect via TonePrint.
Viscous Vibe was made to let the œyou in your playing shine through. Its True Bypass design ensures zero tone coloration, letting your tone shinethrough with no loss of high-end.
Viscous Vibe always lets your original sound pass without ever converting it to digital, keeping every nuance in your tone intact with zero latency.

Comments about TC Electronic Viscous Vibe Univibe Guitar Effects Pedal:
I had another well-known Uni-Vibe pedal -- but it sounded more like a muddy fuzzy phaser with a warble control. This Viscous Vibe is exactly what I was looking for. It gives a great clean Uni-vibe sound while leaving any additional overdrive, fuzz, or phaser effects up to the player. It's so clean I can even add a a little of this vibe's sound to a sparkling clean surf setup for just a bit of complexity that really gives a unique flavor.
