I has always been satisfied with the spring reverb in my Hot Rod Deville 410, but this pedal has broadened my sound exponentially. I picked it up three weeks ago, and I've since spent many hours tweaking the parameters(and swapping out the Tone Prints). The presets really make it possible to recreate some classic tones (I sometimes use a TS-9 w/ the drive zeroed out for boost w/ a little bite on the chords). I know this sounds like a TC Electronic ad, but I am very happy that I selected this particular reverb pedal. I borrowed a friend's Electro-Harmonix Cathedral for a weekend, and it's a great pedal, but from my limited experience, the Hall of Fame gives you just as many options(even more w/ Tone Print) in a much more compact unit. The Cathedral does have a pre-delay knob, where the HOF has a "short" and "long" pre-delay toggle as opposed to a knob. So, if pre-delay is your thing, maybe you would prefer the Cathedral. All I know is that I've spent the past three weeks experimenting with every permutation of the Hall Of Fame's settings, and I'm still discovering new sounds. Several of the Tone Prints have chorus, flange or modulation mixed in. Had I bought this pedal years ago, I probably never would have bought a chorus pedal (I don't use chorus much); many of the tones have that classic chorus shimmer, and of course any Tone Print can be tweaked with the FX level, tone, and decay knobs. I know this sounds like an ad for the pedal, but try out this pedal with a decent guitar and amp set clean, and you will get lost in the sound.

For 140. this pedal shouldn't be out of the box defective and not turn on. I've heard multiple reviews discussing the power issues. However, if you get one that actually WORKS, it's fantastic but the power issues on these things are very haphazard.

I majorly play rhythm on my acoustic guitar with finger-picking on the slow songs at my home church. I have been playing there for almost 3 years and have been using pedals for about 2.5 years. This was my first pedal to buy from GC, along with the Flashback Delay X4. Everybody loves the sound I produce from my acoustic guitar with these 2 pedals alone. The different modes set in this pedal are amazing and can literally fit just about any music style you play. I mainly use the church, mod, room, and hall on this pedal and I just love what they produce. Giving from the modulating tones of each note to that deep resounding sound of a big church. I have never run into an issue with this pedal, and it fits perfectly on my board of 4 pedals for my acoustic. Very well made case and a removable bottom to use a 9V battery or to change the pedal between bypass or active. Definitely not heavy at all and the capabilities of this pedal is far above my expectations. I love it.
This pedal is really great. I use it in a worship setting to create a pad sound to fill up the room. I tried a number of different reverb pedals but they just don't match up to this one. It can be tweaked to your own liking from the decay time, volume level of the effect, tone and 10 different types of reverb including Toneprint. Toneprint is TC Electronic's way of allowing users (you) to download the (in this case, reverb) tones of your favorite artists. This pedal is true bypass so your guitar signal does not get cut in any way going through this pedal and it is also stereo capable. It is absolutely worth the price. Highly recommended!
This is all I'd ever want in a reverb pedal. Natural sounding, expandable, flexible, and very high quality. I've downloaded every toneprint setup that is currently listed. I think the toneprint feature is great, however, there's basically nothing practical in the toneprint download library that you can't dial-up within the built-in's. The Hall of Fame has a better user interface that allows me to get to the correct verb setup quickly. You can't go wrong with the Hall of Fame.
It's hard to find any fault with this one. Within minutes I had the sound in my head dialed in. After enjoying that for a while, I played around with all the settings and just drifted away in the beautiful sound. For certain songs, I'm not sure how I got away without having this for so long. Worth every penny. And while it's a bit of a gimmick, the ability to use your cell phone to 'beam' toneprints to the pedal is actually pretty fun!
This reverb pedal is the only reveb you will ever need. Has a ton of different reverbs and a included all free tone print that you can down load a bunch of other reverbs from the pros from your computer or even from your ipod or iphone and did i mention all FREE downloads, thank you TC ELECTRONICS. This is a very quality built pedal with the gigging musician in mind and price very affordable for all.I have used this with a marshall and a orange head and a vox handwired combo and a fender deville combo and all sound great with this pedal. I am very impressed with this pedal and will be buying other tc electronic pedals.
just received my"HOF" sill playing with it ,and totally satisfied. but cannot get the stereo to work. the mono works just fine. thanks for a great pedal for my sho-Bud pedal steel pro 111.
Hall of Fame is the best reverb pedal I ever had. And the TonePrint (app) is the best way to improve your sound and access very quickly different presets. Nowadays with the TonePrint editor, you can do your sound and manipulate the pedal to a new level, the level of your will. It means that you can personalize it, just the way you want. Great to use with guitar or bass guitar, even double bass (upright is nice).
This pedal really sounds great. Hands down the best reverb I have heard. I am somewhat use to playing on a fender hot rod deluxe and using the built in reverb on the amp. The hall of fame is quite honestly un-comparable. I cant say I am very fond of the tone print feature that comes on most TC electronics pedals, so I wouldn't let that sway you into purchasing this, but I will say that is a fantastic sounding reverb and I absolutely love it.
Great tones, rugged construction, lots of tweakability. Great pedal.
Very impressed with quality and sound. An excellent value. Tone print seems to be un-thought-out, but that doesn't drive cost. The usb cord is about a foot. To enable tone print you need a long power source to hook up the USB and power at the same time. No power adapter comes with this pedal. Tone print is confusing and unorganized - you are not always sure what you are downloading. Tone print is an artist's settings on all the knob parameters - not a single sound patch - so you don't know where his knobs were to get the sound you see on the video. GREAT value - even without tone print.
