I'm a 30 year Rocker, and Guitar Gear Hoarder... As I get older I strive to get the vintage cleaner tones out of the Instruments I've acquired over the years.. over the past year I have switched from playing a solid state fender (with onboard effects) to a 81" Fender Pro Reverb Tube Combo, and Built a custom Pedalboard.. Added a bunch pedals I had laying around since the 90's.. an older TubeScreamer and some OLD Ibanez pedals (Delay and Octave) That being said'. this was an improvement from my last rig.. and tone was good, But some of the old pedals sucked up my Tone and BITE.. I was insearch of some TrueBypass pedals, so when they were off, it was like they were not even there... about 3 years ago our singer bought a TcHelicon Vocal unit from GC and I was amazed at how awesome it was... so I decided to check out there guitar pedals... I am Blown away at this point with this company.. everything Tc does is VERY Excellent.. This company was the best of the best back in the day when needing any Rack studio gear.. "OK" now about this PEDAL.. I really wanted the Tc ALTER EGO delay pedal but GC does not offer this pedal, so on a whim i picked up the Flashback.. I was not disappointed at all, The very first setting (EVERYTHING at NOON) was excellent.. at this point I did not have a Chorus Pedal, So I was using the "MOD"-ulated setting.. VeryVerySweet. So I had to run right down and Buy another, the Corona Chorus.. after using it for a few weeks I did the hardware update and downloaded the TonePrint app on my SmartPhone. (actually pretty easy). This is when I realized My SEARCH was over.. Just watch some of the Videos that Tore explains some of the pedals. you will want them all. TONE.... This is where this is the BEST choice you can Make. This pedal does NOT drain any tone, even when it is on. it simply adds the effects in with your tone.. TONEPRINT.. OMG this is the greatest thing since Fender introduced Reverb... Basically these people put a ton of effort in making the CLASSIC pedals you love. and with the smartphone app,, You can ZAP your pedal to any pedal or setting you could want,, I downloaded a few of my favorites on my phone and on stage I can change my pedals with a press of the button. Seriously like switching out your pedals in the middle of a set.. NOT a very good looper.. But the rest is Better than any other delay pedal out there..

The Flashback Delay is a very versatile delay pedal that will get you many different sounds and options. It is a really great pedal for sitting around and jamming with. However, it is not the greatest for live applications. For one thing, to change the settings, you have to bend down and turn the knobs instead of having different presets. Another problem is that there is no tap tempo. There is something kind of like tap tempo where you hold the button and then strum the tempo (it mutes your sound while you are doing this), but that restricts the player because you can not set the tempo while you are playing as you could with tap tempo. Also, if you want to change the tempo for a certain song, since you can't play and set tempo, you have to pause for a while before the song to set your tempo. A bit of a setback.

THE ZEUS OF PEDALS!!

By Kevin

from Philly

Comments about TC Electronic Flashback Delay TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

I bought this pedal about two weeks ago, it was recommended to me by my best friend who works at my local guitar center. I jammed on it in the store and thought is was sick, but since i took it home and put it on my pedal board it has now become my favorite pedal. I have owned two other delay pedals but this one is the father of gods compared to the others. There is no comparison, i can get so many different delay effects that im set for life, if you are thinking of buying this pedal just do it you will not regret it, best pedal i have ever owned and i dont think thats changing!!!! I LOVE THIS PEDAL!!!!

Great Pedal

By A.Arnan

Comments about TC Electronic Flashback Delay TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

The Best Delay pedal I have ever used. I had two DD3's running at one point or other and I got tired of the very generic sound of the Boss Delay. The TC Pedal allows me to leave everything pretty much at 12 and adjust the modes to get different feel and delay types. I have it running into AC15 with a G&L legacy and a fulltone Fulldrive and the sound is amazing.Use a power supply this thing inhales batteries like crazy.

Can't ask for more . . .

Comments about TC Electronic Flashback Delay TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

at this pricepoint. For a versatile delay unit that does all of the basic types of delay very well and sounds excellent doing it, there is no better option. There are other units out there that specialize in certain types of delay and there are extremely deep and tweakable (and expensive) multi delay units, but for solid, basic sounds with only the necessary tweakability, the Flashback is a steal. All of the modes sound good so I would recommend this as a great first delay unit for someone who is exploring delay sounds. With this unit one can decide whether they prefer a modulated sound, a tape sound, a slapback, a purely digital delay and more. You get a little of everything with this pedal and everything sounds good! Personally, what make this a keeper for me is the ability to alter the delay time without making that unpleasant time-warp sound when the rate gets slower of faster. It's silent and adds a great dimension to the fading/sustaining repeats. Also, the EP3 toneprint makes this unit even more versatile, adding the ability to self-oscillate the repeats in a great sounding mode. Again, one cannot do better for a delay at this pricepoint.

Time Machine

Comments about TC Electronic Flashback Delay TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

This is the best delay for the money out there period. I've had this pedal for a month now and anything I've thrown at it, it chewed up and spit back out without blinking an eye. It has a multitude of features and delay types. How TC managed to fit everything into it is a mystery to me. The only answer must be that it is bigger on the inside like a certain other blue box that will not be named. The dotted eight delay takes you into U2/the Edge territory. One cool thing I've found is that if you use the Modulated delay, turn the volume and feedback on the pedal up to 3 o'clock, the time signature at a dotted eight and quarter notes, put a distortion pedal with gain all the way up and do volume swells, your guitar will sound like an entire orchestra depending on your chord registers. Very good, go buy it now.

amazing sound... but... buy the power supply!!

By Brett Cosby

Comments about TC Electronic Flashback Delay TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

i love this pedal, owned it for about 8 months now, it does everything it claims to do, has many settings of great delay and the downloadable options are impressive, love the lack of tap tempo (thats what i have always hated about delay pedals) and the modular delay is one of the coolest sounds ive ever used. i only have one problem with it... it may as well not even have a battery compartment, the 9v only lasts a max of 20 min if you use it on full songs, this was easily fixed when it was put on my powered pedal board but you really want to go ahead and grab the adapter or a 1-spot multi-pedal power cable for this and the other ones in you're rig, it is nice to not have to ever worry about batteries in general but without it this pedal wont make it through a 40 minute set...

Comments about TC Electronic Flashback Delay TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

Got this delay for worship. Works well. Sounds great. Found a patch for the dotted 8th and it has built in tap tempo so this pedal does everything we need and does not take up space on my pedalboard. Great buy.

Comments about TC Electronic Flashback Delay TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

I am very happy with the Flashback delay. I find that most of the delay models are extremely useful though I generally stick with the tape echo, analog, and 2290 models.

The knobs can be very sensitive so taking your time dialing it in will get the best results, specifically with the FX Level knob - You can easily go from subtle delay to overblown washed out delay.

I appreciate the simplified design for a modeler, no screens.. just 4 knobs and a button. I suppose the toneprint feature can add complication but I have not used, or plan to use it.
