TC Electronic's Combo450 features a 450-watt bass head featuring TubeTone, a unique tone control section that delivers all of the rich characteristics of a full-on tube amp as well as SpectraComp offering 'per string' compression for more bite and punch than any other bass amp compressor. The TC Electronic Combo450 also includes the on-board chromatic bass tuner, three user memories alongside the Active Power Management system, giving it maximum power impact, resulting with the Combo450 bass amplifier behaving like a tube amp at full blast”all key features that don't exist in any other combo.
The TC Electronic bass amp comes matched with the customized Eminence 2 x 10" drivers and 1" tweeter that deliver the clean, punchy and powerful Combo450 sound. The amp and speakers are housed in the 18mm hard-wearing plywood cabinet with a pull-up handle and wheels for easy transportation.
Other features on the bass combo include an auto-sensing PSU (power supply), so the bass combo can be plugged in safely in any country while on tour, and a Rehearsal Input socket that allows you to plug in a variety of audio sources so you can play along for practice. Connecting the optional RC4 foot controller to Combo450 gives you instant control over the three user memories as well as on-floor tuner indication.
The TC Electronic Combo450 also has speaker breakout connections to add additional cabinets. And as all TC Electronic amps, the Combo450bass amp can drive a combination of any three TC cabinets. Also, as Combo450 uses the TC 'stackability' system, it can be expanded in a variety of ways for the ultimate power combo for those larger gigs.

Awesome set up! I would buy this agian, i just bought another set of TC speakers to run . Sweet sound easy adjustment, Excellent compressor and you will love the fat tube sounds. I use it all time with out the speakers in headphone mode awesome set up! Buy it! Cheers!
The head and cab are amazing!!!! There is a definite high treble roll off 'baked' into the sound to cop a slightly more vintage sound, so if you are going for that super open top end Marcus Miller sound, this may be out. The amp has a VERY musical and versatile semi-parametric EQ. The really wide Q (2.2 8ve I think..) make boosting very musical and not stick out. At default frequency points you get a very 'fat' bass EQ, very growly and punchy low mid, a grindy hi mid and that rock and roll lower treble bite. For a more modern sound you can move the treble center all the way up and the bass down a ways to really widen out the bottom and open the top out a bit (rolling the tweeter up on the cab helps a ton too!) gets you a closer sound, but the rolled off Treble that they baked in keeps it from going 'hi-fi' AMAZING DI!!!!!! My favorite, cleanest DI now. No ground lift ever needed because it is transformer based and there is literally nothing to lift. The Spectrocomp is a great compressor... I've not used compressors much live, but a few clicks of this in really does add a bit up front and cleans up a bit of poor technique =P Tubetone is a fun knob in moderation.... you get more wiggle room and tonal capabilities if you lower the gain a bit...either input or the gain that the tubetone knob controls when in shift mode... name escapes me.. too much tubetone and compressor and the amp really seems to react like a tube amp with a lot of 'push' and slower attack...it gets soft... very cool to feel (and hear!!) in a solid state amp...Higher levels of tubetone result in full on distortion. Idea of presets is amazing... Three is plenty..but I could always use more =D!! The cabinet is an amazing 210. It has plenty of bottom, but on a 5 string you can hear it compress the B string a bit and lose a little volume, in a mix though that tight low end really helps project the sound. That along with the tweeter (which is really sweet and subtle and even people who normally just roll them off I think would enjoy it) being in the upper cone (co-axis) really helps you hear yourself on stage. having the amp and cab together in the combo is great!!! Awesome that you can remove the head too, only combo I know of that this IS and option. More companies should follow TCE's example. Its great for living on campus to be able to roll the combo around and have my bass in the other hand. No more double trips!!!. The handle could feel a little better I think... I think its a great idea, but maybe a little more solid execution could have helped. Overall AMAZING amp head, amazing cab and you have an easy to move and compact combo amp very capable of holding its own in a gig. TC rated this amp conservatively and it sounds like a lot more than the rated wattage other companies boast. Great buy! No more looking for an amp that just works and gets that sound in your head, PLUS I get all the features (compressor, TUNER!!!, Headphones, ect!)
