TC Electronic ND-1 Nova Delay Guitar Effects Pedal (150457)
Availability:

Uncompromised studio-quality digital effects in a compact floor-based design.

The ND-1 Nova Delay raises the bar for guitar effect pedals and redefines what it means to be "state-of-the-art." It's built upon the legacy and knowledge of TC's world-renowned TC 2290 Dynamic Digital Delay.

With 6 different stereo delay types and the option to store up to 9 presets customizable by an array of style parameters ranging from vintage tape to digital delay. This effect pedal easily serves all delay requirements of modern guitar players who seek unique sounds.

Each of these types can be modified with a delay style — a unique feature of ND-1 Nova Delay that allows you to mix and match your delay type and style infinitely.

With the ND-1 Nova Delay, both single delay and dual delay lines can be applied to any type and style using the tap tempo switch or delay time knob to determine the delay time that ranges from 1 to 2290 ms.

Three different types of modulation (light, medium and heavy) can be applied to any of the delay types — a feature originating from the TC 2290 Dynamic Digital Delay processor.

The all-new Audio Tapping™ technology enables you to set the tempo of the delay by playing a rhythm into the pedal while holding down the tap tempo switch. You can now set the tempo of the delay using your most important asset: Your playing.

Other great ND-1 Nova Delay features include the pedal's ability to choose between ms (milliseconds) and bpm (beats per minute) readout, decide if you want spillover on individual settings and turn global tempo — where tap tempo determines delay time on user presets — on and off.

  • Great Delay

As reviewed by BBabs on 7/7/2008

I've had this pedal for about a month now and I love it. There is a lot of freedom in this pedal and all of the features are nicely laid out. The tap tempo works great and I especially love the display. The only problem I can find is that presets are pretty difficult to switch to and from. It'd be cool if they offered some sort of external stompbox with 5 preset buttons or something.

  • Too much to list!!!

As reviewed by Bob Trice on 6/28/2010

This pedal ROCKS!! It took me some time to figure it out but afterwards I thought, Duhhh! Not real familiar with all the new gadgets with multible buttons and switches. I'm more of an analog type guy, so this pedal really delivers great tone for me to give a thumbs up. It can store more delay times with different add-ons than you'll ever need. I like the feature that lets you put some chorus or other modulation in the repeats. Thats a cool thing to listen too! Once you get comfortable with using the 2 buttons to go to different patches and the on/off button it's very easy and can be adjusted on the fly during a set. Some pedals need to be basic but a delay that offers what the Nova Delay does is a nice thing to have on your board.

  • Most features in Medium Enclosure

As reviewed by Kyle on 2/5/2011

I have owned this unit for 3 weeks now and have thoroughly enjoyed using it so far. I have also owned a Malekko Ekko 616 for over a year but wanted some digital features like dotted eighth delay etc. that it did not provide. This unit has everything you would want in a delay. It is digital but has analog uses as well with different forms of modulation. Another must is the tap tempo switch that many smaller analog and digital units don't have. If you play with a drummer that never plays at the same tempo this feature is a must IMO. My only (minor) complaint with this unit is that there are some features that I know I will only be able to fully understand by pulling out and reading the manual. I hate reading manuals. However, most of the features you will use are pretty intuitive.
