Three mind-blowing modulation effects in one compact pedal.

The TC Electronic John Petrucci Dreamscape guitar effects pedal offers chorus, flanger and vibrato in a single pedal. In addition to the brand new Vortex Flanger, the Dreamscape guitar effects pedal includes Petrucci’s previously existing two Corona Chorus TonePrints, two Shaker Vibrato TonePrints and one Vortex Flanger TonePrint. The new John Petrucci Dreamscape signature pedal’s mind-blowing modulation effects have been painstakingly tailored with an eye on even the tiniest detail by the master himself.

With The Dreamscape, you even get a TonePrint setting that allows you to upload or beam other TonePrints to the pedal. This pedal is a must-have for guitar players everywhere, not just John Petrucci and Dream Theater fans. The Dreamscape is a brilliant way of getting three top-notch modulation effects in a compact pedal that takes up minimal real estate on your pedal boards.

An easy to use, single knob chooses between the six integrated signature tones and one additional TonePrint. You’ll have total control with Speed, Depth and FX Level knobs. Further, the pedal has a three-way switch that lets you toggle between Bright, Normal and Dark, which is an overall tonal shaping feature chosen by Petrucci. Finally, The Dreamscape gives you all of the great features included in other TonePrint pedals do such as true bypass, one-screw-battery-access and a sturdy design made for life on the road.

TC Electronic John Petrucci Dreamscape Signature TonePrint Pedal Features:

  • Six signature tones tailored by John Petrucci
    One brand new flanger TonePrint
Three mind-blowing modulation effects in one pedal: chorus, flanger and vibrato
Corona Chorus TonePrints are available as The Dreamscape TonePrints
    True bypass
    One-screw battery access

  • I really wanted to like this pedal.......

As reviewed by wade holland on 3/20/2013

TC makes great stuff... I have the Hall of Fame pedal and it is awesome.... Like that pedal, the Dreamscape is solidly built and feels nice... That's where the similarities stop. This pedal, while it sounds like a good idea, is sorely lacking. To use this in a live situation to the fullest extent is impossible. The FX volume operates differently on the selectable effects. On a few of the effects, the knob does what it says and colors the signal with the effect, on the others it acts as a volume control but with a stagnant same level effect. You can see how this would make any on the fly switching impossible because of the dramatic volume differences. This is an acknowledged issue and was even reported by tc as part of the design...... What??? Who would do that? Thankfully, I bought it from a store with a return policy. It will be going back.

  • Amazing pedal - versatile

As reviewed by Kyle Spears on 6/14/2012

This is my first TC Electronics pedal, and I have to say I am impressed. Construction is great and I love the easy on/off foot switch, it is very different from other manufacturer footswitches. TCE has some great pedals (Corona Chorus, Vortex Flanger) and some not so great pedals (Flashback) as with any company. The Dreamscape is one of those great pedals. It may seem pricy to some but remember that you are getting 3 effects in 1 pedal + the TonePrint functionality which gives you a seventh effect setting on the pedal, saving tons of room on your pedalboard (a huge plus). You do not need to be a John Petrucci fan to get interested in this pedal. This pedal delivers on all levels once you play around with the settings and learn what each effect was designed to do. Both chorus settings are perfect, flat out. The first flanger is very subtle (some don?t like it, but it is very well suited for certain songs). True to John?s word the second flanger is a great copy of the famous EVH flanger sound (if you?re looking for that great sound from unchained) this is it. The tremelo?s one and two, again both are quite different but sound great and work well in different scenarios, clean vs. dirty etc. And finally the bright/normal/dark switch is a nice addition to add even more sound differences to the effects depending on the style of music you are playing. This pedal is very versatile, you will get great sounds no matter what your amp settings are. I run this pedal through my amps FX loop with a loop station, delay and noise gate. It is the perfect pedal, packed with great sound and several effects in one small foorprint. There are very few occasions where I wish I could run 2 of the effects on the dreamscape at the same time (say chorus and tremelo) so I love that I can save the room on my pedalboard with this one great pedal. This pedal will take a little playing with to get used to and it is not a set it and forget it pedal, you will be adjusting the knobs a lot depending on the song you are playing or the sound you?re trying to achieve. All and all this is a win win to me. I defiantly recommend this pedal. It took a while to take the plunge and just buy it sine it is such a new pedal, Guitar Center is the only retailer in the US that carries it and there are so few reviews of the product that actually are informative enough for you to make a decision. But after diving into it, I have no regrets this is a great pedal. It is cheaper than buying its 3 counter parts separately (Corona Chorus, Vortex Flanger, Shaker Tremelo) and maintains almost all the functionality of the 3 pedals in this 1 amazing pedal. If you are on the fence at all just get it, you will not be disappointed.

  • Very nice indeed

As reviewed by rick weaver on 4/24/2012

This is my first T C Electronics pedal, I was a little worried about the price, but I must say, this delivers on what it promotes. The stock sounds are enough for just about any genres desired. Armed with my iPhone and the reasonably priced app. I can change to any available Toneprint in seconds just by simple instructions. I?ve had other products, that worked well, and were somewhat similar, but they colored my sound to the point I was forever tweaking, a at last would still have the need to hard bypass the product completely. Not so with this, I still had to plug into my Mac to update the software, but that only took seconds, not hours. the only annoyance I have found, some of the patches do not like the distortion or overdrive in front of it. I have a Mesa Stiletto, and with it in front of the amp, probs, which I use the most, but some songs require the use of my Keeley modded Rat, or my Metal Zone, the chorus is good, but forget the flanger, it sound good with the amp gained up, especially with the mids scooped a bit. But for me the benifits outweigh the faults. best part, I don?t have to use a hard bypass with it, and it truly replaces a lot of other gear I?ve grown to just not use because of extra effort. when your on stage, you want things as simple as possible, but still be able to make other guitar players say ? you sound great, what do you use??. so I say to all the people at T C, Thanks, and keep them coming.
