Availability:

Offers superior performance in a smaller package.

The Tascam US-122 MKII seamlessly continues the worldwide success of its predecessors, the US-122 and US-122L, offering improved recording quality from a USB MIDI interface further reduced in size. Since it doesn't require an additional power supply, this portable audio interface is perfect for creating stereo recordings with a laptop computer wherever you go. Or use it to substitute the on-board soundcard of your Windows or Macintosh computer to play back music or video files with better sound quality. XLR microphone inputs with switchable phantom power and high-quality preamps are the basis for good-sounding recordings while input signals can be listened to by headphones with zero latency. Line-level sources or an instrument can be connected as well. The Tascam US-122 MKII has a mono switch, one MIDI input and one MIDI output, and a line output on RCA connectors. The US-122MKII USB MIDI interface supports sample rates up to 24-bit/96kHz at resolution. While commercial audio CDs are produced at 44.1 kHz/16-bit, this interface offers you more than double the sample rate which means more detail for your recordings. (If you need four instead of two channels of simultaneous recording or playback and an additional digital I/O, have a look at the Tascam.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

  • Awesome

As reviewed by DJackson:) on 5/14/2010

I love this! It is great When I record. It Only Has a few jacks so you cant record everybody at the same time but who says you cant record one track at a time. It takes a little while to install but it is worth it! Pure AWESOMENESS is all i have to say!

  • Great for learning to record

As reviewed by Collin T. on 9/6/2010

I've had this for about 8 months and I have recorded multiple good quality songs with it. It has a durable build! You don't have much control over the qaulity. In fact, if you don't have a pretty high end microphone or instrument to use with it, it wont sound great. It has a ton of hiss. It does it with multiple different mics and instruments, so i assume it is the intrerface. If it werent for creativity and good software this probably wouldnt be great for someone who is experienced in making quality recordings. As for me this is what I learned on and it is great for that because it is easy to use and it is simple. It has good features but is still very limited. If it's your first one, and you have a tight budget, I would suggest it. However, you might quickly find yourself wanting an upgrade!

  • Hopefully Defective

As reviewed by Dennis on 6/26/2010

Virtues-(one star each) .Aside from the chintzy knobs it feels well built .Layout is excellent .Sound quality is good** Vices .Headphone amp seems weak to me (I get more level of my PC) .Questionable Quality Control** **I just brought this home and tried it with a condenser and an acoustic with a pickup plugged in together(Mic on the L channel, Guitar on the R). With the mic in and the phantom on the Guitar gets mad hiss. With the mic unplugged "OR" the phantom power off the guitar input gets nice and quiet "BUT" has a slight buzz at the fading end of sustained input. The only way I got a pure and quiet signal from the Line In's(left or right) was to drive it as a line input(no HiZ on the R in) with nothing consuming phantom power. I did however, update the drivers and firmware fresh out the box before giving the stock "wares" a chance. Not always a good idea as the latest driver isn't always the greatest driver. therefore I will be swapping this out tomorrow in hopes that it's just defective because in the end I do like it. -this review will be updated to a 1 or 4 star pending the outcome of the swap.
