The package contains the key recording equipment you need to turn your Mac or PC into a total production system for music, podcasting, or production.
The US-122mkII recording interface is your computer's gateway into the audio world. More than just a soundcard, it has a pair of pro-quality microphone preamps for connecting any type of microphone. High-quality condenser microphones — like the included TASCAM TM-78 — need power to operate, which is achieved with the phantom power switch. Another switch turns on the line input, for recording powered devices like keyboards, drum machines, and guitar amp modelers. You can even plug your guitar or bass directly into the TASCAM US-122mkII. With two inputs, you can record two microphones or sources at once.
The TASCAM US-122 mkII audio interface connects to Mac or Windows computers using USB 2.0, and the unit is powered over the USB cable. Zero-latency monitoring is available for recording without the delay going to a computer and back. MIDI input and output jacks allow connection of synths and drum machines. Connect the US-122mkII to monitors through the line output or use the included TASCAM HP-VT1 closed-ear headphones with the front-mounted stereo 1/4" jack. The US-122mkII makes a perfect portable recording interface with metal components and solid construction built for the road.

I could not find a -1 so i rate it a 1.....I was looking for mic.. And a sales rep. said hay we got this setup . Its a full studio for 199.00. I was like hmmm as I scratched my chin for a min..Then I told him I have the set up I am just looking for a good studio mic..He told me that I would get a better sound it I got the package deal.. So me I'm a fool and said sure... I got the box everything came in home..`It took me about 5 hour to find out the software was not valid and that the auto/interface driver was not working. so I went on line and searches for the driver.Guess what I never found it.. so that made me very happy... The mic. works great great just what I was looking for. But now i am stuck with a cd that has software i cant use and a auto/inter face I cant use.
