The PR-10 from TASCAM is an extremely compact digital audio recorder. It is ideal for recording interviews, lectures, live music, and much more. This pocket-sized unit can record MP3 files or high-quality WAV at rates up to 24-bit/48kHz. Records to popular microSD flash memory cards, allowing you to record hours of material and share it easily.

The PR-10 features a built-in stereo omnidirectional microphone. A 3.5mm stereo mic/line input makes it easy to connect an external microphone or an instrument, while the 3.5mm headphone/line output jack allows you to connect headphones, external speakers, or route the signal directly to a mixer. The high-speed USB 2.0 port allows you to transfer your recordings to a Mac or PC for editing or sharing.

The PR-10 can be powered by a pair of standard AAA batteries or by USB bus power. Comes with a microSD card, AAA batteries, and a USB cable

    This thing is awesome! I never used it for lectures, only recording live music. For the price, its really good. It has 3 different recording levels to record (low, high, and normal). It also has a hold button so that you don't accidentally turn it on if it was in your pocket. It has a USB connection so you can drag and drop the files onto your computer and edit or playback. It also has a line out which is ideal..you can plug in so you can hear on stereo system.(the built in speaker suckd for playback. Why? It's not very loud, especially if your trying to hear specific parts.)

    Th PR-10 is very small. Its about the size of a candy bar. I would suggest buying a case to protect it (especially where the condensor mics are). It looks very fragile.

    My only complaint would be the battery life. It uses 2 AAA batteries. They do not last too long. I used it to record on and off for about a total of an hour and transferred files from unit to computer and then the unit was already down to half the battery power. If you purchase this unit, buy a power supply.

    I am pleased with this recorder. I bought it because of its ability to vary playback speed and loop sections of tracks. This has been very helpful for learning songs from recordings.
