Thanks to a misprint at the factory, you can own one of a few DP-02CFs with the name "Portastud" emblazoned on its casing! It's an 8-track digital recorder you'll be especially proud to take anywhere, and a joke that never gets old.
Special introductory offer: FREE 1GB Compact Flash Card Included.

Exceptional
This has been the best recorder that I have ever delt with! I am able to make amazing recordings with this portastudio. I have paid to record in a studio before. The studio didnt even come close to the quality of this tascam recorder. It is super easy to use, and the functionality is great. After your done recording you can also master the song on the same unit. Then you can easily transfer to your computer, via usb port.

Good Product.
I got this recorder about two weeks ago, and I haven't stopped using it since. After setting everything up, and consulting the instructions for about 5 minutes, I was recording. Its super easy to get a great stereo recording. An audiophile musician friend of mine heard a demo I made, just a guitar track and a vocal track and his words were "analog schmanalog, sounds effing amazing". If you can't get a great sounding record with this machine, you're not doing it right, and if you can't do it quickly, and effortlessly, you're doing something wrong. This is a great peice of gear, especially for anyone with a home/project recording studio.
One recommendation, get a big CF card. Its a pain to have to backup to my external hard drive for every song. It takes quite a while to wait for the machine to do its thing... so having a lot of storage in the cf slot will save a lot of time and energy.
