Blurry Screen
You will be gretaly disapointed in the Tascam CD-RW 900 and the 900 SL, and the 901 as well. It has a blurry screen, with mostly yellow bars, numbers and such, and it is hard to distinguish, at far away or close up.
It is the worst screen I have ever seen on any equipment I have ever owned in 40 years.
Screens should be bright and clear and distinct. The Tascam people clearly failed the people who buy this product. I get a sick feeling every time I have to look at my 900 model, and should have sent it back while under first warranty, but thought I could live with it, but disapoints me greatly still after only 4 months of use, and it also puts bad spots on our CD's from time to time, and caused us much grief when trying to master. Now we are not using it at all for any recording purposes, as it can't be trusted any more, and the Tascam people have refused to answer my emails about this issue.
Poor peice of equipment, and it will disapoint you when you see the screen and the blur it gives off, not to mention the cd tray sounds really loud when opening and closing, and rough. Not smooth at all as you would expect with proffessional equipment.
