The CD-GT2 guitar trainer features an all new improved ultra compact design, comprehensive LCD display with graphical user interface, album title/track title indication by CD-text, expanded effect banks for user preset, 3 octaves tone oscillator, and TASCAM'S pioneering VSA (Variable Speed Audition, pitch control without affecting key) feature lets you learn up a continuous mix of their favorite songs anywhere you go.

better than the original

This thing is way better than the original. The new design gives a plus in lens protection. The other thing I like is that you can bypass the effects and the tuner is very accurate. The only minus is that you need to order the adapter for it and you can do so by doing it online. Do what I did and have done rush delivery so you can started on tunes. It's always nice to have something like this to learn tunes as opposed to tab or regular notation. I would highly recommend this if you want to build your ear.
