The T-Rex Yellow Drive guitar effects pedal provides two versatile channels for an array of overdriven tones. Most guitarists know how complicated it can be to switch between clean, crunchy, and distorted sounds on stage. If you set your amp to a crunchy sound and use a distortion pedal for solos, you don’t have a clean option. If you run your amp clean and use a distortion pedal for solos, the only way to back down from full distortion is to lower the volume on your guitar, which can cause you to lose most of your tone.
Meet the T-Rex Yellow Drive
The T-Rex Yellow Drive pedal solves this problem by giving you two separate channels of vintage T-Rex gain. Two channels means you can easily switch between a clean sound from your amp, a nice edgy overdrive from Channel A on your Yellow Drive, and a thick, warm distortion from Yellow Drive’s Channel B. It’s like having two pedals in one – and it gives you total control over your sound.
New tone controls
With the T-Rex Yellow Drive, total control runs deep. Of course you can set the amount of gain for each channel (the gain level for Channel B picks up where Channel A leaves off), but you also get a pair of individually tuned tone controls – one for each channel – so you can shape the timbre of your overdrive and your distortion to create your own signature sound.

Finicky pedal here. Sounds good overall, but when I switch from channel A to B and when I turn the pedal off and on, the clicking sound is projected out the amp. Does not work well with other drives. Made a lot of my other pedals go haywire and eventually replaced it with a Paisley Wampler. Good pedal if you just want a basic drive pedal, but I would think twice before putting it on a big rig of pedals.
I have to tell you, i have been messing with diff pedals for about 30 yrs, and never could find the sound that i was happy with, BUT this one takes the cake, and i would like to thank ed at GC in cherry hill, nj for turning this thing on to this old man. Try it guys, its great. john.c
Just picked up the Yellow Drive. Amazing. Warm, rich, full and versatile. Mostly using channel A for rhythm and B for leads, but can set the gains the same and up the level to use one channel as a volume boost. Either way, this pedal kills.
