The Fuel Tank Jr works great and is a cheaper alternative to the Voodoo Labs Pedalpower or BBE Supa Charger, but works just as well. No noise or hum! I'm powering 7 pedals with no problems. This is much better than the noisy 1 Spot that I tried. Isolated 9V outputs are the key to preventing ground loops and other noise. I wish the Fuel Tank Jr came with 3.5mm mini plug adaptors to power some EHX type pedals. And I wish the power cord was a little longer. Actually I give it 4.5 stars, but I'm rounding up to 5.

Overall I am happy with this purchase. However, I would like to see them sold with a bracketing system in the future. I made one out of 1-1/2" x 12" FHA plates that I bought at a local plumbing supply house, black spray paint, and velcro.

The Voodoo Labs power supply that I purchased came with a bracket to fit the more popular brand of pedal boards, Pedaltrain, and it worked great. For the price, it wasn't a total set back to make my own, but it would be nice to have already had them in the box.

Other thing is the lack of a ground on the plug. That may or may not prove to be crucial.

Very happy with my Fuel Tank Jr.!
The TREX Fuel Tank Jr. is a very small power supply that can power a staggering amount of 9V pedals as well as a few 12V and 18V effects at the same time.

It's small size allows it to be mounted under most pedal boards or even directly on the board without taking up valuable space for your other effects.

It comes with more than enough patch cables to power any configuration of pedals and effects that you might need including a daisy chain that will link several effects together from one 9V terminal allowing you to power way more than the perceived 5 that it boasts on its housing.

A red LED lets you know when the fuel tank is on and it provides quiet power all night.
The TREX is built like a tank. It feels very sturdy in your hand and that says alot. One thing I'm not impressed with is the lack of a "ground" on the plug. That's right, its just got 2 prongs. I don't know if that is part of the design to make it deliver "quiet" power but as a tradesman I prefer to buy products that are grounded.

Voodoo Labs power supplies are grounded but they cost more.

So far this hasn't caused a problem during the one time that I've gigged with it, but I am leary.
This is the most affordable mutli-power supply that you can buy right now. Voodoo's cost about 50% more, isn't as compact, and doesn't offer as many outputs & power options.

Comments about T-Rex Engineering 9V Fuel Tank Junior Guitar Effects Pedal Power Supply:

before I purchased this I checked the other reviews and most said the necessary cables for chaining pedals to one input and voltage doubling were not included but, they were included with mine, so I guess they listened to the comments and added them. Also it's a good power supply for placing your digital pedals on a isolated outlet and daisy chaining your dirt to just one!

Comments about T-Rex Engineering 9V Fuel Tank Junior Guitar Effects Pedal Power Supply:

A very reliable power supply for a smaller pedal board. I have a five pedal setup so this is perfect. Included many power connection cables and an optional 18 volt connection cable. I only get a little noise comming from my amp but nothing terrible like others have said. This is great quality bang for your buck. Definitely would recommend it to someone.

Santa Rocks

By Jody

from Warner Robins, GA

Comments about T-Rex Engineering 9V Fuel Tank Junior Guitar Effects Pedal Power Supply:

Santa brought the T-Rex Jr. Zip tied it to the bottom side of my holeyboard (amp top) and you don't even know its there. Clean wiring installation. Only one plug to deal with and no batteries. All of a sudden there is no noise or hum. Must be from all the individual grounds. The old Hot Rod Deluxe never sounded better.

Nice Little Package!

By JAN JAROSZEWICZ

from Florida

Comments about T-Rex Engineering 9V Fuel Tank Junior Guitar Effects Pedal Power Supply:

This is a cost-effective alternative to the Voodoo PP2+. Recommended by a friend, it fits nicely into the top tray of my pedal Train Mini and I power five pedals individually. I am convinced that my pedals are, in fact, working "better" as their respective performances seem to be a little sharper and most definitely offering little or no hum at all. Suggestion to T-Rex: It would be nice if the five plugs would "click" into place in the power input at the pedal rather than just plug in and kind of sit there where they can come loose...

Comments about T-Rex Engineering 9V Fuel Tank Junior Guitar Effects Pedal Power Supply:

I've had this for about a month and used it almost every day for 2-3 hours and have had no problems with it at all. It powers my 6 pedals reliably and silently. The only problem is that the description mentions that it comes with a "special serial cable (voltage doubler)" and a daisy chain, however THESE ARE NOT INCLUDED. I had to buy these separately for about 15 washingtons total. Also, the cables included are all the same length, not two different sizes as stated in the description.

      Good product, misleading product descrip

Comments about T-Rex Engineering 9V Fuel Tank Junior Guitar Effects Pedal Power Supply:

The T-Rex Fuel Tank Junior is a good power supply, if you use few pedals. It's clean power, no hum.

However, be aware that it now comes with only five pedal cables, not ten as in the description. It also does not include the daisy chain link cable, nor the serial 18v volt cable as described.

Small, light, easy, and quiet! The way I like it!

      By Brian Lebo

      from St. Louis, MO

Comments about T-Rex Engineering 9V Fuel Tank Junior Guitar Effects Pedal Power Supply:

This is a great unit for the money. Powers 5 9V pedal, or you can use to outputs to power an 18V pedal. Comes with all the necessary cords/plugs you will need. The Fuel Tank is amazingly small and light, smaller than some pedals. Just plug in and play and you're ready to go. I have had zero noise, zero issues with this unit. All my pedals work flawlessly (Crybaby Wah, MXR Black Label Chorus, Akai Flanger, TC Electronics Flashback, Dr. Scientist Reverberator). This thing is quiet, even in my noisy music room. IMHO, you cannot go wrong with this unit. Quiet, small, and portable. Even looks cool!
