Hand built in Denmark, the Comp Nova guitar effects pedal is easy to use and delivers uncolored sound with awesome clarity, detail, and dynamics, even at extreme compression levels. It's designed for guitarists who want to thicken up and smooth their tone and who crave that much sought-after "chime." Very subtle and transparent even at full sustain. Great for blues and jazz. Controls include an Attack knob which adjusts both attack and threshold, plus Compression and Volume knobs. (The Volume knob has unity gain in the 12 o'clock position and delivers a 3dB boost at the maximum setting.) 9V battery operation.

  • Is it even there?

    This is a great pedal because it does just what I want it to do. When I heard different guitars through this pedal I really heard the differences in each guitar. There was no tone coloring that I could hear. It is like having an invisible pedal. When using a compressor in a performance no one should be able to say, "I like how they used the compressor..." With this pedal people will say great things about the tone. It is also a simple pedal to manage. There is nothing more to this pedal then great tone and great control.

    This is definitely one of the most overlooked pedals I've ever come across. This compressor beats any comp I've used including the renowned Keeley Compressor. This thing is TRANSPARENT. All you will hear is your guitar's tone with as much or little compression you want. I leave it on all of the time. With gigs including country, rock, blues, funk, jazz, and worship it has not failed me yet from a tonal or reliability standpoint. Over the past year of owning it I have had no technical issues at all. The controls easy to set and highly responsive giving the pedals the ability to adapt to any gig you might play. This pedal even with compression all the way up has never given me the hiss common in many compressors. For country tunes I use a high compression level and quick attack and all of a sudden I'm in chicken pickin' heaven. For rock/metal/blues I will set the compression at about 3 o clock with the attack at about 2 which gives me smooth sustain with blossoming note trails. I play a PRS CE24, Fender deluxe Telecaster, 72 re-issue tele and a highway one strat...This pedals works great with anything. I highly recommend it.
