Synthogy Ivory Grand Pianos 1.7 software combines over 3,500 samples with a playback engine built from the ground up to bring out the resonance, response, and character of the world's finest concert grand pianos.
Ivory's superb piano samples were brought to life using no-compromise technology in the finest studios and concert halls. The sessions were produced by Joe lerardi, an accomplished pianist and award-winning sound designer and producer of piano modules for Kurzweil Music Systems. Ierardi's unique expertise covers every aspect of piano design, from tuning and regulation to recording, editing, programming, and engine design.
NOTE: This software requires a Pace iLok USB key ("dongle") which can hold over 500 cross-platform software authorizations â all manageable via iLok's website. You can authorize software programs, plug-ins, features, and modules â even those published by multiple developers â without the burden of multiple keys. iLok also allows you to easily transfer authorizations from one computer to another without violating a software publisher's license agreement. Purchased separately; see product number 241800.

The Synthogy Ivory Grand Piano software produces the most realistic concert piano sounds I've experienced to date. The 3 main concert pianos emulate closely what an audience hears in a concert setting. The German Concert D 10 is a Steinway concert grand performance. The Bosendorfer Imperial 10 is a brighter Bosendorfer concert grand performance, and the Studio Grand 8 is a Yamaha Conservatory grand concert performance. There are also many other "room" and ambiance/synth settings you can set to produce a large variety of different piano sounds. These can all be played directly with a keyboard/computer using the Stand Alone option, or as a plug-in to other recording/music software. All in all the Ivory Grand Piano software produces more realistic piano sounds than I've been able to produce with Yamaha/Roland Digital pianos even after applying the best audio mastering software.
