I got these right angle plugs to use on my drum mics. I have a BIG set of drums with lots of cymbals, and a cable with a conventional plug gets in the way. I also like the fact that you can rotate the right angle part in 45 degree increments, makes it SOOOO much easier to mic up the drums!
Why this product isn't in stores is beyond me. I needed them to mount microphones in my mounted toms (which I made myself). They are pretty durable and easy to solder. There where no instructions on what wires go where so I had to take one of the ends that I cut off apart so I knew what to solder and where. I would recommend this to every drummer even if you aren't mounting mics inside but sometimes those regular cords get in the way.
