Switchcraft Q-G connectors and adapters are designed to solve common interconnection problems and are perfect for use with sensitive sound devices such as microphones, amplifiers, sound reinforcement equipment, and any other component that does not have an appropriate mating connector. These units feature a separate ground terminal, ground contactors, captive design insert screw, and high-impact thermoplastic insulation. The shells, plug tips, and sleeves are crafted from either a copper alloy and then nickel-plated or from a tarnish-resistant, copper alloy-plated steel. All insulation used is paper-base phenolic or rigid plastic. Wiring assembly required. This connector will be shipped in three parts: 1. the tubular insulator, 2. the pin and base sub-assembly, and 3. the plug or extension jacks assembly. Suggested wiring scheme: pin 1: ground (shield) pin 2: hot (red lead, tip, positive) pin 3: cold (black lead, ring, negative)
