Heavy-duty machined copper alloy handle, tip, and body for unsurpassed ruggedness. Bright nickel plating on exterior surfaces will not chip or corrode. Solder terminals are tin electroplated for ease of soldering. One-piece tip rod staked into tip terminal to ensure electrical continuity. Heavy-duty cable clamp provides secure strain relief.
Not "gold plated" nor with a spring type strain relief but these plugs last forever. Literally. I have some that are over 30 years old and although they show signs of wear they are just as reliable and noise free and oxidation free as the day I bought them. No frills solid quality and complete reliability.
These are pretty solidly built. They've provided countless hours of noise free operation in my right and I have yet to have a plug break in anyway whatsoever. Cables hold nice and true inside its metal casing. No stress relief is provided with the plugs but can easily be accomplished if you own a heat gun and some shrink tubing.
