Comments about Suzuki MDG-300 Black Micro Grand Digital Piano:

I use this keyboard/piano for practice, lessons and small local performances. I like the size and sound for the cost but the assembly process was so rediculous. I almost sent it back. Some of the holes were drilled too wide so that the screws provided wouldn't fit tightly, which is concerning for such a heavy instrument holding itself up on three legs. Other holes weren't drilled in the right spots, so my husband had to use his own drill to drill new holes. If I had tried to put this together myself I wouldn't have been able to and I would've had no other choice but to return it. It's a good thing I needed it and got such a good deal on it.

Comments about Suzuki MDG-300 Black Micro Grand Digital Piano:

I've been a musician for forty years. I wanted a piano for my kids to start playing that didn't require lots of buttons and a PA to turn on. My wife wanted a piece of furniture that looked nice if we were to have it in our living space instead of the studio. My main concern was if it would have realistic piano sounds and would the action be realistic as well. I honestly didn't expect it to be at the price point. I also anticipated that the workmanship on the piano box itself would be poor quality. Much to my surprise, the sound, playability and quality on the craftsmanship was all amazing. It was incredibly easy to assemble (other than the two gold stabilizing bars for the pedals). I will say that I can't comment on the other features because I simply do not care enough about them. I scanned a few of the other sounds and they seemed good, but that isn't my area of focus so I wouldn't know great from decent. The piano portion of it, I was more than happy with. I would gladly spend the money again to have a great looking piece of furniture that has a great piano sound and superb playability.

Comments about Suzuki MDG-300 Black Micro Grand Digital Piano:

We wanted a baby grand and decided that this was a good alternative to try. Overall we are very pleased with the choice for the reasons we most wanted it, as having a nice looking piano in our living room that sounds good.
As a professional I am very pleased with the sound and for the most part the way it feels however I wouldn't recommend this for the other features for the following reasons.
The rhythm accompaniment is very poor in that it does not seem to keep good time because it loops very poorly, so poorly I can't play with it. Fortunately I didn't purchase it for that feature or for the other sounds most of which I will never use accept for the electric piano sounds.
The absolute worst thing about this piano is the assembly. It is absolutely impossible for one person to put this together because of the weight. It takes at least two people just to get it out of the box and one of them should not be a female unless she is very strong. Also it is absolutely necessary to be extremely careful when assembling because if you are not careful you will definitely break the legs. Keep in mind that because of the weight returning this would be a nightmare so you want to make sure you do not have unruly kids or reckless adults anywhere near this leaning on it, sitting on it, banging on the keys or any other abusive behavior because this is not a durable piece of equipment that can withstand any poor treatment. The bench is not at all satisfactory.
Fortunately I love the way it looks in our living room and I love the way it sounds. It's great having people over and being able to play and sing music as part of the get together. If that's what you want you will be satisfied with this instrument as I am and overlook and happily deal with the other shortcomings

Comments about Suzuki MDG-300 Black Micro Grand Digital Piano:

Day 1 with the mdg 300 I am pleasantly surprised. I would say it feels and sounds similar to the Casio PX110 which I have enjoyed for many years.. For the price it is a great value. Of course the sounds and touch could be better but they are sufficient for most styles. I was very skeptical when I ordered because of so,w bad reviews but so far I am really happy with it. I plan on gigging with it in a few weeks:)
