    Comments about Suzuki BLUESMASTER HARMONICA:

This is a beautiful harmonica aesthetically. Looks & feels great in hand and mouth feel is superb. Rounded corners of the covers are terrific when playing-no sharp points. Sound is above average; not quite as 'solid' as Hohner's Blues Harps but darned close and a lot nicer to play; I like the weight. Would have given 5-stars but lost a hole mid gig at the high end. Disappointing but not a deal breaker; I'll try to recover it myself. Will get another one in a different key and see how it performs. Love the feel of it while playing. Features WITH benefits ("no bull" features): Stainless Steel covers, Phos-Bronze Reed plates, plastic combs. Adds up to oxidation free outer, long reed life, durable non-warping, non-swelling combs. Definitely worth a try or two if you're using Oskar, Hohner or Bushman.

I really like the Suzuki Bluesmaster harp. I purchase two (C and D keys) and am very happy with the quality for a reasonable price.

          Best Harp Ever

          By DAVID

          from Raleigh, NC

          Comments about Suzuki BLUESMASTER HARMONICA:

Picked up my first Bluesmaster today at the Raleigh shop (shipped there from an online purchase since Suzuki Harps are not stocked in the store). The Bluesmaster is hands down the best harp straight out of the box I have ever played. I have been playing Marine Bands, Blues Harps, Special 20s for years and have been happy with them all. I just wanted to try something new, so a few weeks ago I purchased my first Lee Oskar (also at the Raleigh store) - worst harp I've ever purchased! Several stuck reeds, misaligned reeds,.... I got it to where it was almost playable, but still a far cry from anything I could be satisfied with. After reading more reviews and watching some YouTube vids, I thought I'd try a Suzuki. Sooo glad I did. The Bluesmaster plays incredibly smooth and accurate right out of the box. It has a really great warm and smoky tone as well. I'll most certainly be buying more!

          smooth and dark

          Comments about Suzuki BLUESMASTER HARMONICA:

I'm trying different Brands to find better customer service. I got 3 Lee Oskar befores playing one, Bad Idea. LOH has great customer service, sent me free covers and a T-shirt. But I honestly like the Suzuki Bluesmaster better. I'm pretty new to playing but the Bluesmaster has the same tone to me as my "Blues Harp", Guitar Center matched a price I found on the internet, so they got my business, and Suzuki has my harmonicas. I love the smooth edges on the Suzuki, the feel on my mouth is more like the Special 20's without catching your lip on the outside corners. I have 11 harmonicas and this Bluesmaster is the only one that I have NOT had to adjust.

          Low Volume.

          By Chuck Morrison

          from KY

          Comments about Suzuki BLUESMASTER HARMONICA:

Tried the suzuki due to long reed life claims. I have not had it long enough to comment on that. But I did immediately notice both suzuki bluesmasters I played are lower volume than Hohner Bluesharp or Special 20. Trade off I guess? I busk alot and play them alot so not sure if I am going to stick with them, maybe as a backup only. I may give Lee Oskars more of a try. The Hohner spec 20 sounds great but short reed life if you are bending and playing blues. Hohner Bluesharp seems to have better reed life than spec 20.

          Love this Harp !

          Comments about Suzuki BLUESMASTER HARMONICA:

I own harps in all keys and have tried most all brands ,and for the price I'd say this is the most solid, airtight, well-tuned harp in this price range. They're virtually bullet-proof. One reviewer mentioned a red colored comb Bluesmaster that was out of tune, but I've only owned the black combed versions, and they've been perfect. Also , these are shaped to easily cup in hand to control airflow. Also, you can replace the reed if you blow it out (not that blowin it out is easy with the reeds being made of bronze phosphor!)The bluesmaster isn't as loud as the Harpmaster (another great Suzuki harp with brass reeds),but I like the tone on this one better. Great sound, easy to bend, and not as suseptible to moisture like wood or brass reeds...all in all 5 stars. Besides , the shape and the stainless steel coverplates just look cool ,too.

          Suzuki Blues Harp

          By Mike O

          from CA

          Comments about Suzuki BLUESMASTER HARMONICA:

The Suzuki Bluesharp is a mixed bag. I purchased a G and an Eb. The G was an excellent harp I would give it 5 stars. It is the laser tuned phosphor bronze as described in the product description with a black plastic comb. The Eb was in a red comb and the reed plate was obviously hand tuned and very poorly at that. The first one #7,9, 10 hole was very poorly tuned and had gouges in the reed where the technician tried to tune it close to where it should be. Guitar Center was kind enough to send me another. I was hoping that this was an aberration but the second Eb has even worse with 7,8,9,10 almost unplayable. Maybe the distinction is the red comb and that it's made somewhere else but it is clearly not the same harmonica as the G with the black comb. Also, you can't tune or modify the reeds on the red comb bluesharps. The reeds are spot welded and if you try to adjust them they snap off I would give these production run Bluesharps a 1 Star, not worth the money or the aggravation.
