Been using it on and off with Logic for a couple weeks. Everything works and the board is well built and solid. Nice having the waterfall keys. They are not "kluncky" sounding as my old boards of the 80's. Wish there was more info about programming the buttons and sliders online or tutorials or downloadable patches. VB3 plug-in works out of the box. The keyboard design look is so "Italian", nice! I would recommend this for any "organ" computer player. The drawbar sliders are large and solid.
Midi only sends - there is no provision for controlling the VMK-161 from a DAW, workstation, etc. However, the onboard memories and setup work just fine. It had never occurred to me that the VMK-161's midi was just a one way street. I had assumed that because it had a USB port it would send *and* received, but that is not the case. This is why only three stars. But the Fatar TP/8O keyboard performs as designed and no complaints there. It works very well with NI B4II and the VB3, which is why I purchased it.
