Overview

This Jack and Ferrule tool offers a quick and easy way to tighten a loose jack plug on any surface-mounted input. Just insert the tool into the jack and use the Allen wrench to tighten the internal, hexagonal-head, set screw. This gives the holding power needed to tighten the retainer nut without having to go inside the instrument. This tool also works great for removing 1/4" string ferrules.

Save yourself a lot of dismantling

By William Alder

If you have a guitar with a surface mounted plug jack then this is almost ideal. I have a Squier Bass with no access to the back of the jack and it just turns when you try to tighten it. This is the ideal solution to hold the inner portion while you tighten the nut. Fast, easy and you don't have to explore the innards of your axe to tighten a jack.
