  • The Wolfgang's Little Brother

As reviewed by Nick on 8/26/2009

The AX40 is one of the most incredible guitars I have ever played. It feels and plays almost like the EVH Wolfgang. The bridge is double-locking and doesn't have the D-Tuna but they are easily installed. The neck has a fast feel to it and almost feels like a Jackson Dinky. In conclusion this guitar isn't a low-end of a Music Man, it's a guitar that's amazing for it's price.

  • A Truly Awesome Axe!

As reviewed by Ben Kaunitz on 5/8/2010

I walked into my local Guitar Center, looking to play the EVH Wolfgang guitar they had in stock, but they told me they had sold it a few days back. So I picked up this guitar, thinking it seemed somewhat similar, but unique. I plugged in, and was blown away! Just the rich tone alone is amazing! The maple neck and fingerboard is fast and comfortable, and the double locking tremelo held tuning perfectly. It looks great too! And what's more, it's completely affordable! I had to have it, and now I have no regrets at all. My main guitar! Thanks Music Man!

  • STERLING AX40/TG

As reviewed by Pete on 5/3/2010

After much reviews and research, I purchased the Sterling AX40/TG. Playability, sound and cost were big issues. So far I believe this guitar has been a GREAT Purchase. No complaints about how the guitar was built. Everything looks, feels and sounds clean. I set it up, about 20 minutes and no problems with tuning/LFR. I am actually pretty happy with the LFR. This is my first guitar w/a FR. I was a little intimidated by the thought of setting it up but it was a piece of cake. For the money, This guitar is an easy buy!
