  • Vital for any home recording studio

As reviewed by Antonym of Apathy.com on 5/29/2007

I bought this mic after a great deal of researching different condenser mics in the same price range, and this one is key for studio recording, it captures the rich true natural sound sound of an acoustic with all the beautiful shimmers and the bass you need as well. think Elliott Smith, Jack Johnson and Dave Matthews recordings, where the strong sonding acoustic at the forefront makes all the difference, this mic gives pro sound for a good price, and the -10 db signal boost allows you to mic drums and anything else as well. Sterling audio seems to be the next big mic company but i would also highly reccommend the 990 & 991 condenser mic package from MXL, for $100, those mics can suprisingly more than hold their wait against mics twice the price of this one....

This mic came highly recommended and when I tried it I heard why. I've used it on just about everything and love the way it accurately reproduces the sound course. This is one I wouldn't be with out. Give this one a try, it's a very good one and the price is right.
