The Stanton C.324 is a tabletop CD and MP3 player that's a must-have for any true CD DJ. The C.324 packs all of the benefits of Stanton's best-selling C.314 with an abundance of upgraded features. This tabletop, slot-loading CD player is designed for MP3 DJs who want to scratch CDs like vinyl, and has everything necessary for high-quality performances. With special features such as MP3 playback with onboard file and folder browsing; onboard pattern and real-time sequencer for drum machine style performances; 7 onboard digital effects; and a sleek slot drive; they've taken everything about the C.324 to the next level...except the price tag.
Realtime Sample/Loop sequencing
The C.324 has added realtime trigger pads that offer realtime sample/loop sequencing. This means that trigger patterns can now be recorded in real time and looped instantaneously. Drum patterns and loops can be manually resequenced and then looped to bring a completely new twist to live DJ remixing. This functionality is usually only achieved on drum machines. Using the C.324 sequences can be created in seconds compared to minutes using drum machines.
Beat synchronized samples and loops
The C.324 can record loops and samples, with the length determined by the Time setting. This new feature makes it easy to set up perfect seamless loops. The player also allows for the creation of beat-synchronized loops based off of the current song's BPM. This means that a perfectly timed seamless loop can be set on-the-fly with a press of one button. Once a beat-synchronized loop has been set, it can be trimmed or expanded in real time by beat increment. By trimming the beat, a one-bar loop can be turned into a 1/2-bar loop, 1/4-note, or 1/8-note. Smaller loops can be expanded in the same fashion.
Slot loading mechanism
The unit has a slot loading CD mechanism with LED for quick loading of CDs in low-light situations.

I'm a Digital Dj, but wanted a set of CD TT's for backup and or timecode use.. I own a Pioneer CDJ 800 and honestly, I like these better. They feel more sturdy than the pioneer, and I like the platter better. For the price, these are stellar units, definitely worthy of pro use. Anyone I know who has tried mine agrees.. truly a solid unit, lightning fast response, and great feel... It's more like a turntable, as opposed to the CDJ's platter that feels like It's rolling on ball bearings or something. just go try them out... they're sweet looking and play like a mother!

I am a professional club DJ and I had these stantons for about a year. they worked perfectly for about 6 months. thats when the malfunctions started to occur. they sometimes had trouble reading disks. they wouldn't eject the disks at times. if you play the players through very loud speakers, they will definitely start to skip. the bpm counter is absolutely horrible on these cd players. it skips around and jumps all over the place. if you are a dj that is wanting to beat match, these players are not what you want. definitely go for the pioneer cdj800s or cdj1000s, IF you can afford it. the pioneers are much more durable, and much more reliable, and will last you a heck of a lot longer!!

While this is a great alternative to the heavy hitters, there is a cost to this affordable and fun product. Get the warranty. This product failed after only 40 hours of use. 40 hours. Its the notorious no-cd flaw. This is a very functional device, but R&D did not spend time testing this before pushing to market. While Stanton will be happy to service this product, expect 4-7 months before getting your equipment back. Very nice piece of gear, but it should have been more durable to withstand the elements of room temperature and no wind. I can't imagine how long the lifespan is for a mobile DJ. Please research this before you buy. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone, especially my friends.
I bought a pair of the Numark C. 324's about a year ago and it was a great investment. Their effects, vinyl capability, hot keys, and loop keys are very easy to use and understand. My suggestion is reading the manual to get everything out of what this cd player has to offer. One of the best features on this unit is the '10 second anti-shock memory' which keeps the track from skipping from the vibrations of high base levels in clubs or an accident bump to the cd player. I would recommend this for any DJ from the starters to the pros. Its a great buy.
I had them for 2 years now and I had to replace them 3 times. After about a year for each player the lazer will stop working and you will have to send it in and get it repaired. And Stanton takes forever on repairing them and sending them back to you. Its a good player, great features but after about a year you will start having problems with it.
I bought these last year and one of my cd players already broke. Well according to stanton forums, this cd players is known for breaking. Sometimes it doesn't identify the disk, doesn't play the cd, or doesn't even produce sound. Overall its a good (non reliable) player, that can get the job done for a beginner. It has onboard effects, looping, and hot cues. Scratching is kinda good with them, and jog wheel is very loose. If you are a serious DJ looking for cd players for a good price, then just save your money and seriously buy PIONEERS! You willl regret it if you buy these players.
so many options to choose from. From sampling to effects you get your money's worth with this turntable
I bought a pair of this decks and I had nothing but problems with them. Before you buy check Stanton forums and see for yourself or buy a extremely long extended warranty. I wish I had!
Well I bought two of these players after doing much research. With a budget in mind they fitted perfectly. Now I haven't used all of the features yet still learning on them.I do have one problem now, that's because one of the decks has stopped loading cd's. So now I'll must get it repaired and it's out of warranty. So now I'm at the repair shop's mercy. I replaced my American DJ decks for the Stanton, I'm have gottem spoiled because out of ten years playing I had one malfunction with them and it was quickly repaired by the manufacturer. I've had the Stanton's a little over a year so I'm a little disappointed that it failed so quickly but I would buy them again. I consider it a minor setback until I go to pratice with only one deck.
I'm writing this review because a couple of years back I couldn't find many(still can't). I realize that most professional DJ's will go Pioneer or in my case Denon. But let me tell you a little secret for you mobil DJ's with a budget. This is a great buy. I own two of them and only had one problem when I bought them. One of the decks locked up and would not eject my cd....Stanton care of that. Including shipping. I love these cd players because you can do alot. such as storing 4 loops and 6 built in effects(not many in this price range). I used them on my mobil rig with timecodes for scratching. There's a couple of other cd players that are cheaper(and thats all they are) and others that are around the same price range. I will not tell you which others are the same as the stanton c.324 at this price range, but I will tell you your money is not being thrown away. Remember if you have any issues them, stanton will take care of you as they did for on my decks. Great player loaded with features.
Just like a few of the other reviewers mentioned before, the player was working perfectly well and then from one day to the other just stopped reading discs. All the sampling and looping features are fine but are useless if your using Serato Scratch or any other software. Finally, it doesnt have a usb port which would of been conveniant and something that many cdj's in the same price range have.
I have spun on many different models of cdj's. Usually Pioneer, but other times numark, gemini and so on.. I was really impressed with how these responded. From the light touch, to the harder tap of the buttons. The scratching takes a little getting used to, but all in all these are fantastic. The effects are precise, the sample/loops works awesome. I have yet to experience anything bad. Well worth the money, and the customer service rep PJ was a big help. It was nice to talk to someone who Actually knew what they were selling..
