The T.62B works really good for mixing and scratching but replace the slip mat, the one that comes with this product really isn't the best, although the cartridge that comes with it works exceptionally for the money, good quality.
Dan you must have some extremely heavy hands dude dont be ridiculous. I own a stanton str8-150 and a t62 and granted the str8-150 has amazing torque and you seriously have to be trying to stop the platter. the t62 has sufficient enough torque to scratch as long as you dont have heavy hands. i would recommend the str8-150 if you have the money. but if your looking to buy some tables on a budget the t62 is a great way to go. a few other things about the t62 that i dont really like is how the tonearm is plastic where the str8 has a nice metal one. another thing is the weight. my str8's shipping weight was 12lbs more than my other shipment which included the t62, a mixer, a few vinyls and some frosted plates. I love how heavy the str8 is it makes for amazing stability and strength. the t62 is in fact mostly all plastic and weighs significantly less but it is still stable and will perform most any task you would like it to. all in all the t62 is really good for the price but the st8-150 is much more worth it in the long run. not to mention that the str8 has 3 different settings of key lock, reverse, start speed, break speed, and all that good stuff.
I bought one staton t.62 table and all i can say is WOW super good for the price ...good for sctraching and basic vinly use....the only thing is yu shouldd get a better slipmat...i got the butter slipmat great combo!
