This Stagg Brass Starter Cymbal Set is great for beginning drummers on a budget. It includes a pair of 13" hi-hats and a 16" crash cymbal.

These cymbals came with my first drum set, and they have held up alright. However, both cymbals are somewhat warped after lots of playing (this hasn't had much of an effect on the sound though). The 13" hats actually sound like a pair of hats should. I can't say the same for other cheap hi-hats I've heard. They don't make a very loud "chick" sound when played with the foot, but it doesn't sound too bad. When closed and played with the sticks they make a sound that is nice and bright, but a bit cheap sounding at the same time (no surprise). When you open them for accents, they sound okay. When opened to play entire grooves, they sound a bit trashy, but they do have decent sizzle. So the hi-hat is alright. Unfortunately, the 16" crash sounds like a splash cymbal that ate too many zebra cakes. It has good attack, but it decays too quickly and doesn't sound as bright and explosive as a crash should. Still, as my first crash, this did serve it's purpose well until I could upgrade to something better (I use this cymbal as a secondary crash now). I've had this cymbal pack on my kit for over five months, and neither the hi-hat nor the crash have broke. Stagg gets four stars from me, mostly because this set sounds great compared to it's price. These cymbals only work as a beginner set, though.
Very good set for starters nice sound good price fast service just what I was looking for. thanks for the fast delivery you've gained a customer. I am very pleased with your products and prices.
these are great cymbals if your a beginner or you dont have a lot of cash but it has a very cheap sound like metal garbage can lids but over all they sound like sheetmetal getting hit which is alright depending on what music you play
