Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Deluxe Electric Guitar:

After this guitar arrived , I remembered why I got rid of the two original '72 Tele Deluxe guitars that I'd had over the years. Great pickups, love 'em. Can't upgrade the tuners, unless you like the look of a lotta screw holes on the neck. An improved bridge on the Squire, over the '72 smooth saddles that allowed the strings to move, and go out of tune. Too many cheap lookin' knobs. I was only using one of the four. Squire Thinline, with same pickups, only has two knobs. Never have I seen a worse pickguard. Mine is humped, warped and dimpled around the screws. The neck is just as thick as the '72 originals. I prefer the smaller Squire necks. I have seven other Squires for comparison on this subject. Will not buy blind off the pile on a warehouse floor anymore.

Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I've been playing over 30'years now and have several higher priced instruments. I never really thought about Squier guitars , figuring they were for kids on a tight budget. After I picked up a used Squier 51 to tinker with ,I was surprised how much I enjoyed it so took a closer look at the whole line of guitars. I always loved the look of a 72' Tele Deluxe ,with the big headstock and humbuckers so I pulled the trigger on the Squier version. The fit and finish are great , feeling like a more expensive instrument. The pickups offer a nice range of tones , offering a bluesy quack in the neck position and a nice rockin' growl from the bridge. Coupled with my Line 6 amp , it can sound like almost anything. Missing is that traditional Tele twang , but there are plenty of other guitar options if that's what you're looking for. The only thing I did to the guitar was hit the neck with scotch-brite because the gloss was too grippy for my taste. This is the guitar that sits on the stand by the amp , I haven't put it away since I unboxed it..

    Fantastic guitar for value

    By Greg Thomas

Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I bought this based on price and how similar it looked to its Fender big brother. The pickups scream the looks are similar and as far as I can tell with a few electronic differences this is a great guitar for a beginner or intermediate player. I am not a professional player but I know what I like (Ha should be song!). Anyways, play and purchase this guitar you won't be sorry and yo won't have to put Guitar Center's return policy to the test.
