Fit and finish a step above your average Squire. Might upgrade tuners and bridge one day, but not a priority.

Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Stratocaster '70s Electric Guitar:

I have 7 Strats, this is my 8th. 5 are MIM reissues that I have modified. I plan to change the PU config in this guitar as well. Maybe try some Fender Noiseless. The guitar was nearly perfectly set up out of the box. Very minor intonation adjustments on the 3rd and 4th strings. The neck alone is wort the $275. Feels like my MIA '57 reissue neck.

        About Me Experienced

Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Stratocaster '70s Electric Guitar:

I don't write reviews but thought I would for this guitar to cover a few things I haven't read as well as to say how much I like this guitar. I heard the pickups might be high output but found they match very nicely with the tone and volume of my Classic Vibe Telecaster, it makes switching between the two nice and easy. The pickups were clear and articulate and the sound of the guitar was a few ticks sweeter and creamier than my Tele really just what I was hoping for plus a bit more. The color of the guitar was a little richer than the pictures, very close but in person I like it more. The last 3 guitars I have purchased have been Squiers something that would have surprised me not that many years ago but the quality is pretty spectacular and on a slightly different note, the bars I play at are not paying anymore than they were 20-25 years ago, some are paying less. So when I look at some of the amazing vintage guitars and amps that were around 300-500 many years ago are 1500-2500 today. I love that I can still get such a nice guitar for the same amount that I was paying 25 years ago. Makes me think that Squier is looking out for the folks still plugging away in their basements, not getting rich but still in love with music.

Comments about Squier Vintage Modified Stratocaster '70s Electric Guitar:

I picked this up as a Xmas gift, had a hard time giving it away. This is an incredible value I have multiple American strats and this keeps up with them. Some parts are not the same quality but it plays and sounds comparable. I've always believed you get what you pay for and purchase expensive guitars but this ones an exception. I never leave reviews but felt this deserved one.

Great guitar after pro set up and new strings were added. Stays in tune and has a great sound, seems like the guitar should have cost much more but pleased it did not.

I have always wanted the strat sound and feel, but did not want to fork out the cash for a MIM or American made. This guitar more than stands up to these guitars and fulfills my dream at a fraction of the price. Honestly I like the feel and sound of this one better than the MIMS. I could not be happier with this purchase.
