This bass is sick. I play everyday and nothing has ever gone wrong. When you first get it though you have replace the strings because the stock are really rattley and don't sound to hot. The color is amazing because it gives it kind of like its own personality because no other bass can compare to the color. Although some other people say the body is alittle big, it fits me perfectly.

my rating says 3 but i give it 3.5 its good for a bgginer but if you have some sufficient experience youll wish it was better. this was my first bass but i could already play pretty well and its not working for me. i had to put a rubber band on the tuners to stop it from buzzing and many of the notes buzz. other than that it was well made for the price and pretty nice

I traded an old ibanez for this bass.As soon as i plugged it into the cable and turned my amp on i couldnt believe the power that came out of this bass.Feels great, sounds great, looks awsome!Only thing i'm going to complain about is when i bought it,it needed to be setup. There was a little to much action.

amazing

By Conor Bernazzoli

i bought this bass about 2 years because i stated to write music and i needed an instrument. i wandered into guitar center and found this amazing pice of work. they had it used so i grabbed it with a Peavy 158 bass amp. i play stuff from the style of Anti-flag and old green day to metal stuff like Metalica and Pantera. the bass was and still is amazing. the tone is great. little to no fret buzz. the white with black is something much different and gives it that real vintage feel. if you come accross this bass...dont think about it just get it. its for beginners to experts.

Great P Bass

By John Schmid

from East Aurora New York

I have owned several Fender P basses over the past 30 years. An Original 1957, a 1962, and a 1965. This Bass is great! The neck is between the 62 with a 64 Jazz Neck and the 65 with a D neck. The pickups sound great. It needed to be set up as any new Bass does. I could not find a flaw in it. It is the Lightest P Bass I have ever picked up. It weighs almost nothing. This does NOT take any sustain away from the instrument. It performs as any of my alder wood body basses have. The Price only makes it better. The Staff at Guitar Center in Amherst NY could not have been better or more helpful.

The eyes have it. All of it.

By Robbie

from Chantilly, Virginia

While Squier is by no means a pro company, this bass is quite a nice piece all things considered. Of course, once you get it, what you'll find is that there is a significant room for improvement. I added some nice EMG Active pickups and strung with DR Black Beauties- now it sounds fantastic. Standard pickups are an improvement over past squier products but not by much. The neck is nicely playable and well balanced, much better than my old Epi T-Bird IV, and, like all squier basses, it takes loads of abuse without any serious wear and tear. But, the place this bass really shines, above the sound quality, is how nice it looks on stage. Big, smooth, and clean, this is one bass that definitely makes the player look great.

a great buy

By Jeff

from New York

this bass for the money is great! i have 6 years of guitar under my belt, and i just started playing bass. to give a good example, i recently played somebody else's bass for a gig, because the e string on this precision bass snapped. and i nearly died. i hadn't realized how great this bass was until i tried somebody elses! this is a great gig bass and im sure it wont let anybody down. it's also good for any genre as well. i know alot of reviews tend to say that, but i cant stress enough how good this bass is at getting the right sound for you. i've also made some serious customizations to this bad boy. out of the box, it came set up really well to my surprise, but still, i would have it set up if your just a beginner. The intonation on this bass is amazing, and the pickups it came with were also pretty decent. get a nice half stack and you'll be golden. the only complaint ive had is the fret buzz. ive tried to get rid of it numerous times, but it's still there. regardless, this bass is hardy, it will get you through anything, and if you're on a low budget(like myself), i guarantee you'll get your money's worth.

Loved it from the start...

By Andrew

from Parma, Ohio

While I was looking around for a bass online, I stumbled upon this bass. The look Immediately stuck out to me, because in my mind while looking for a bass I wanted a White body/Black pickguard combo. Anyways, while I was at GC, I seen it. I started playing it, and it sounded beautiful. It has a very clean, clear, crunchy rich sound, and it's very versatile also. I have a feeling I am never, ever going to let go of this bass! Rock on!
