Just got this a couple of days ago. I couldn't believe how good this thing sounds right out of the box. I ran it through my Fender FM head, and a B-52 2x12 cab. For a guitar that's this inexpensive it totally rocks! I got my jazzy, my blues, my edgy metallic licks, all of it! I changed the tuners, the pickguard, and the pickups, only because I like to make an instrument my own. Everything I throw at this guitar gets thrown back at me in spades. If you haven't yet checked out one of these do yourself a favor and try one...you won't be sorry!

I got this guitar for Christmas last year, and it was my first lefty guitar. I never had a problem with it until my first string change, I got a new pack and got them on from a pro guitarist and it completely was done for. i still have it but I bought a different guitar and haven't touched it since. I would recommend this guitar to any beginner, It was my first guitar and I'll always love it, i think you will enjoy this guitar too.

Beautiful instument. Nice sound for the money. All things Lefty usually cost a lot more than their Right handed counterparts but this guitar was the exception to the rule.

A Fender anyone can afford

By TONY

from Wittmann, AZ

Comments about Squier Stratocaster Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

This is my first electric guitar and I'm just learning to play at 53. I bought this rig because my acoustic is bigger and causes my old shoulder to scream out when I wrap my arm around it. The Fender Strat is much thinner and causes much less pain. As for the guitar itself...I'm no expert but my teacher told me to get this one specifically and I have yet to find anything to complain about it. Great sound, easy to play, lots of variations available. You can't go wrong at this price.

Very High Quality for such a low price

Comments about Squier Stratocaster Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

I bought this a Guitar Center on Capital Boulevard in Raleigh, NC 2 days ago. It is my first electric guitar and it is outstanding! I also purchased the Acoustic G10 amp which makes the guitar sound spectacular. I highly recommend this guitar to any beginners wanting to spice up their play with an electric guitar. I also recommend my Acoustic G10 amp for beginners. You can play clear or dirty, and I picked it out because it was the cheapest in the store :D.

My favorite

Comments about Squier Stratocaster Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

I got this for Christmas a few years ago from my dad (I'm sixteen. I liked it from the start, but I grew to love it. The sound is great, the neck feels great, and the craftsmanship is great. I still use it as my primary guitar. If you are left handed, get this. You won't regret it.

Update on Guitar

By Michael Calle

from New York, New York

Comments about Squier Stratocaster Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

Its been well over eight months now and all I can say is WOW. This guitar is totally worth the buck. Plays well, doesn't de-tune constantly, lightweight, great sound, and overall, great playability. The paint job is also awesome, it being a brown burst and not the corny three tone burst. I've rarely had to do any modifications to make the guitar great. I've taken this guitar to many gigs, recording sessions, and jam sessions and everyone is always blown away about how great this guitar is. This guitar is also really great for blues, classic rock, and indie. Plays even very close to the real deal.

Pleasantly surprised

By peter macneil

from Central, MA

Comments about Squier Stratocaster Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

I am a beginner and wanted to pick up a lower cost electric guitar. I did not want to spend a lot, but wanted something decent. Initially I went the used route, but a computer glitch on a used Squire Standard meant that they had sold it already, so they offered me a deal on this guitar. Have to say that the Guitar Center staff were kind of blah in this purchase and in another purchase of a used RH squier for my daughter. Bought an amp and a number of accessories, so thought that the customer service might have been a bit better. I asked them to check it over to see if it was OK prior to leaving the store - did not really look at it - except to eyeball it. Was hoping they could check it out for action, intonation, etc., but maybe I was expecting too much. Got it home and was very happy with it - no scratches, chips, the neck was very nice - with frets that were very smooth and blended in with the rosewood fingerboard. I watched a ton of youtube videos about setting a guitar up and then adjusted the truss rod a 1/4 turn counterclockwise, the action, and the pickup height and then the intonation. I have had the guitar a little over 2 weeks and I am happy with the purchase. Would I do it again - yes, I would purchase it again. Only negative is that the tuners seem to need to be adjusted quite often, maybe it is just that the strings are breaking in and it needs more frequent tuning. This is not a $1000 MIA Fender Stratocaster, but it is perfect for me to learn on and play for quite a while. If I advance and become a better guitar player and want to change something - then I could change out the pickups, volume and tone potentiometers and tuners. There are a lot of upgrades that could be done later and you would still be into it for less than a foreign made Fender Strat. If you want to spend just a little more money - then you may want to pick up a Squier Standard - the body is not as thin and is really like the Fender branded models and the pickups may be just a bit better. If you are a beginner like myself - I bought the Fender Mustang 1 amp and think it is fantastic. It is a modeling amp with 24 presets and it has great Fuse software to allow you to hook the amp up to a computer and change the presets with others that are found online - making it so much more flexible as far as sound profile configurations go.

Unbeatable for the price!

By Randal Mckissack

Comments about Squier Stratocaster Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

Like the title says, this guitar is amazing for the price paid. When I bought it, I got it set up in the store (action, intonation, truss rod, etc.) and put some new strings on it. Tuning is stable, even with bending and using the whammy bar. All of the electronics work with no problems, and you can really hear the difference when you turn the knobs and use the 5-way pickup selector. The neck, frets, and fretboard are all smooth and nice to play. I've been playing bass and guitar for about 5 years when I bought this, so I can say that it would be a good guitar for beginner to intermediate players. And as a left handed player, you just won't find a better deal. Definitely recommended.

Best Stratocaster for a good price

By michael calle

from Manhattan, New York

Comments about Squier Stratocaster Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

I just picked this up today at my local guitar center and i can say i was totally blown away. The wood is smooth, the is slim but does not cramp up my hand, and i just love the 70s headstock. the two-tone sunburst is also beautiful. Unlike the picture the Squier logo is not all black but is in gold letters with black trimming. The pickups can use a little work but that does not really annoy me. If you're looking for a great left handed guitar (let's face it every time a lefty goes in guitar center there's rarely any lefties) this is the perfect guitar. Did i mention there isn't any fret buzz either?

Excellent price, top quality

By Jonah

from Oklahoma

Comments about Squier Stratocaster Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

Two years ago I began to play the electric guitar, starting off with a right-handed First Act 222 from Target. I got sick of it and took some money with me to Guitar Center with my buddy and bought this guitar, desperate for a left-handed guitar. I bought this one as a last resort deal, but it turns out to have been a very good decision. This guitar has noticeable quality for the price, and a branch of guitar from one of the most popular brands around, Fender. Mom's and Dad's, hear me out. If your kid is begging for an electric guitar and they have little or no background in playing, I would recommend picking one of these up, and yes, there is a difference between left handed guitars and right handed ones. Dont be surprised though if your son or daughter is wanting to upgrade to a better guitar pretty soon afterwards, these particular guitars are very basic. If your looking for a beginner guitar and a WAY low price, this is the one for you, trust me.
