After buying a Squier then move to a Jazz bass. I came to this wonderful bass. so far from my bass experience this is the best I have found I been looking for that jazzy rock and roll tone and this bass has both and it just sounds amazing.I did a show last night and it was just like woahh. it blew me away. This is a really good bass. and the star just makes it more special

awesome bass

By Gus

Comments about Squier Mike Dirnt P Bass:

what can I say this bass is just spectacular. starting with the most important the sound its rich, great for a squier p bass and can play jazz, punk, and rock. the tone is incredible specially when played through a good marshall or fender amp. what I love about it is how simple it is one tone and one volume knob. the paint was fantastic and the star looks really cool. next the neck feels great just like any bass should specially for the price, and the fretboard incredible easy to play. this bass is also very durable and quality that cant be beat. the only down side is that it is a tad heavier than other basses but it is a small price to pay compared to all the great things this bass has to offer.I recommend this to anybody looking for a bass that can play almost anything. this is by far the best bass I have ever played.

A wonderful first bass.

By Jen M.

from Torrance, CA

Comments about Squier Mike Dirnt P Bass:

I'm a complete newbie to the world of bass and checked out various options in my price range. I saw this one online and sought to see it in a store, thankfully I did find one in stock locally. Right away I noticed a sound difference from what I had been previously handling (mainly other Squier P-Basses and a few Jazz). It had a growly rock sound that I enjoy hearing in a bass. The neck is thin, very simlar (yet not as thin) to a Jazz bass, which is a good thing for me since I'm female and don't have very big hands. The body is a slab body, so if I ever do venture to stand up I can see it being perhaps slightly more difficult to get accustomed to. I ordered one online and the only problem I have is the paint around one of the pickups. It looks more like the body was never fully enamaled during production. It's not a huge deal since it's not a super expensive bass, but production should catch things like that. Over all, I have not had any trouble with it so far. I'm enjoying teaching myself some minor things and will be taking it to some lessons soon.

As Seen On TV!

By Flea's Biggest Fan

from Tennessee

Comments about Squier Mike Dirnt P Bass:

This bass is the very model that Mike used in the video for the song "Minority", one of their best songs. Now, I admit, I don't like Green Day as much as I used to, but, even though the lyrics are absolutely vulgar and repulsive, as far as modern/alternative rock goes, Mike is one of the best bass players of the genre!

Great Bass

By Andrew

from Grosse Pointe, Michigan

Comments about Squier Mike Dirnt P Bass:

I got this for my birthday a few days ago. All that I can say is that this is an awesome bass. It is a lot lighter than it looks, much lighter than the EB-0 I've had for about a year. The fingerboard is thin, but not too thin, and you can use a pick, fingers or slapping, and it always sounds good. I played this bass with my band and they all thought it was awesome (especially the star, which looks great). I am personally a huge green day fan, but you don't need to like green day to like this bass. Buy it!

Very Cool Bass

By Rich W

from Montague , NJ

Comments about Squier Mike Dirnt P Bass:

I was looking to get my hands on one of these since I saw one in a store one day . Went back to buy it and it was gone . I later on down the road scored one on Craigslist . For some reason they're really hard to find and after owning one I realized why . It's probably one of the best bang for the buck basses out there . For the money you just can't beat it . Sounds a bit like a Mexican Fender P-Bass but more playable and much much cooler looking . The versatility of it for a "Beginner" bass is just amazing . This is most likely why they're so hard to find . That said if you do see one and plan on buying it might be in your best interest to act fast on it .
