I absolutely love this bass it has amazing playability and has a very comfortable feel while playing. This thing is amazing!!
i think this is one of the best basses you can buy for under $300. for that price, the quality of this bass is unreal. i like this bass more than the fender version because this is a replica of the first bass mike ever owned (which he recieved from billie joe as a gift) and the fender version doesn't have the star on it. just watch the interview with mike about this bass.
This is my first bass and I am nothing but blown away. It's sooo loud especially with a pick. Beautiful except for the pick guard, it's ALL SCRATCHED UP. I took it out of the box and I didn't see it until I got home. Also disappointed with the cable input. a little shaky and causes interference on the amp. I would give it 4 stars because of the quality in looks but the sound is unmatched!
This was my first bass ever for my band. My favorite band of course green day. This guitar is LOUD but not to loud, you can surely hear it through any guitar line. Very heavy I must say, has a great precision tone. You can't go wrong with mikes signature bass.
Ok, This bass may nto be the best ever out of the box, but with some small modifications its ready to roll. This bass has a really great tone and the neck feels great especialy for being a tele style neck which are genrally massive. The only things Id change is to switch out the pickups, either seymour duncan spb1 or a custom shop fender. Then just put on any hi-mass bridge, I recomend either Leo Quann, or Gotoh and this bass is just as good as the fender. For under 300 this bass is truely amazing, and for under 200 you can make it spectacular.
So, I put in some new p.ups and this thing Roars. Mike D. Still remains my favorite Bassist.
This is one of the first basses I've ever owned. The first thing that caught my eye when I saw it online was,of course, the star. I really liked it, but I was kind of hesitant in getting it because I had no idea what the sound was like. I decided to get it in the end, and do not regret my decision at all. This bass has a a really awesome sound, easy playing fretboard, and is very durable. I sometimes accidentally bang it up and it does not harm it at all. It has a very nice, deep, clean, crisp sound. Only downside is the output where you plug the amp in has a loose screw, and I have to tighten it every once in a while. Awesome bass.
this bass has got everything it roars like thunder but its a squier this baby has great tone and playability and who cant love the price and the star just makes it that much more special
what can I say this bass is just spectacular. starting with the most important the sound its rich, great for a squier p bass and can play jazz, punk, and rock. the tone is incredible specially when played through a good marshall or fender amp. what I love about it is how simple it is one tone and one volume knob. the paint was fantastic and the star looks really cool. next the neck feels great just like any bass should specially for the price, and the fretboard incredible easy to play. this bass is also very durable and quality that cant be beat. the only down side is that it is a tad heavier than other basses but it is a small price to pay compared to all the great things this bass has to offer.I recommend this to anybody looking for a bass that can play almost anything. this is by far the best bass I have ever played.
At first I was apprehensive of buying this bass because it wasn't in any stores so I couldn't tell whether it was a good quality or not. As soon as i got it and started playing it I could tell it was different than most basses, but in a good way. The tone is amazing and it is a very good investment.
