bottom line: I was amazed at well this thing played. i myself am a bassist of 5 years, so when i picked up the mb-4 for my bro, I wasn't expecting anything more than a good beginner bass. I was SO WRONG. The Mb-4 plays like it should be triple the list, but priced at 200-250 (depending on location), it's a steal! the neck might toast in three years, but then again, it might not, and for the money, what have you got to lose. I'd recommend this to any beginner player, and any pro on budget. I'm pretty picky, but fender won me over with this one. Buy!

Worst Bass ever

Ordered it online. Design looked good but the whole build quality was very bad. Too cheap for a fender brand. Wont recommend this for anyone.

AMAZING VALUE AND SOUND

By

from Tampa Florida

Comments about Squier MB-4 Skull and Crossbones Electric Bass Guitar:

I picked up one these used at guitar center, I had to play a gig that night and my Casio privia died on me so we decided I should play bass for the night at least. OH MY GOSH, this thing is amazing! It sounds great, is very well balanced and comfortable to play. I loved it right away and was able to get good tone to cut through the guitar and drums no problem through my keyboard amp, thatۡs right not even a real bass amp. I loved this thing to death it introduced me to how fun bass can be (I used to look down on the instrument). If you want to get into bass or even if you have experience this thing is just hands down amazing for the price and just all around. buy one, you wonۡt regret it!

Nice Bass

Comments about Squier MB-4 Skull and Crossbones Electric Bass Guitar:

Very nice bass. I have the dark red one. I have owned this bass for about 3 years and its held up ok. The volume knobs are can come easily and there is some feedback and fuzzy sounds when hooked up to the amp. Overall its a pretty good starter bass, but not one that I would want to use for a huge gig.

IT LIVES!!!!!

Comments about Squier MB-4 Skull and Crossbones Electric Bass Guitar:

Perfect bass for a beginner, had mine for a little over 3 months and its the best! I've played on a few of my friends basses before getting mine, but it didn't feel the same. This one is perfect, perfect pitch and everything. LOL I can't really put everything into words on how it feels when you play it, you just feel like its a part of you or rather an extension to put it in better terms. If your thinking of just starting out, I would HIGHLY recommend it. Just not for my friends lol, don't want them copying me!

perfect starter bass

Comments about Squier MB-4 Skull and Crossbones Electric Bass Guitar:

i've been playing bass for a little less then two years an bought a five string i keep going back to this bass over the five sting because i can get the tones i want out it. the strings are a little thin an easy to snap under heavy playing but for stock strings they're good. i replaced them with a set of musician gear nickle plated strings an it's almost perfect. the only issue i have is the strap post are small an my strap falls off every now an then other then that its a perfect starter or intermidate bass for anyone who plays bass

Awesome Bass,, Only 1 Flaw But Great

By

from Brooklyn

Comments about Squier MB-4 Skull and Crossbones Electric Bass Guitar:

I bought this Bass at my Local Guitar Center and in store it was actually $215 not $229. This Bass is Amazing switching from highs to lows u can significantly hear the differance which is great is hs great full tone lows and good highs the 1 flaw i mentioned isn't anything really just that the strings it comes with a pretty Low Gauge but that can be easily fixed,, the build i great nice and full feels like it cant be broken. This sounds good on my little 12 watt Crate amp which isn't all that so imagine on a nice line 6 or acoustic amp.. I reccomend this as a first bass and maybe even for a somewhat intermediate player , just get higher gauge strings

Great Starter Bass

By

from New Jersey

Comments about Squier MB-4 Skull and Crossbones Electric Bass Guitar:

First off, i got this a couple of years ago as a starting bass because i made the switch from guitar to bass and let me tell you, the sound on this is wonderful. At first, i was skeptical because most of my friends looked down upon Squiers because they though that they were cheaply made but let me tell you this bass is anything but. It was a great starting bass and it is DEFINITELY worth more than the price it is listed for. In addition, the paint job on it is great along with the vicious looking skull in the fretboard and on the body. This bass will play anything and still sound great. Go Out And Get It!!!

Cross Bone Bass by Fender

By

from Ogdensburg, N.Y.

Comments about Squier MB-4 Skull and Crossbones Electric Bass Guitar:

I have owned this bass for 2 and a half years and it still sounds awesome. I play this guitar everyday for hours and plug into Fender sidekick 10 from the 1980's that was my father's. The tones are clear no matter what genre of music played on this bass. The longer length of the neck is more realistic, so the bass is not making the player feel as though they borrowed it from a small sibling. The price is right for the instrument and I recommend it to anyone who cares for good sound. Thanks
