bottom line: I was amazed at well this thing played. i myself am a bassist of 5 years, so when i picked up the mb-4 for my bro, I wasn't expecting anything more than a good beginner bass. I was SO WRONG. The Mb-4 plays like it should be triple the list, but priced at 200-250 (depending on location), it's a steal! the neck might toast in three years, but then again, it might not, and for the money, what have you got to lose. I'd recommend this to any beginner player, and any pro on budget. I'm pretty picky, but fender won me over with this one. Buy!

Worst Bass ever

Ordered it online. Design looked good but the whole build quality was very bad. Too cheap for a fender brand. Wont recommend this for anyone.

Comments about Squier MB-4 Skull and Crossbones Electric Bass Guitar:

The MB-4 skull and crossbones bass is awsome. It has sweet tone and quality for the price and works great. I use it in a rock band and I always get coments about how great it sounds and how cool it looks. It has that low bass thud and nice jazzy feel you want from a bass. I would defenantly recomend buying this bass.

Skull and cross bones squire

By K.theReaper

Comments about Squier MB-4 Skull and Crossbones Electric Bass Guitar:

The skull and cross bones squire is a great metal instrument, I am in a death metal band using this, and it is always a crowd pleaser. Though it can be a pain to keep clean, if you are worried about that because of its color. I really cant think of any reason not to buy this bass!

Great to use

By Jester

from Lyndhurst, NJ

Comments about Squier MB-4 Skull and Crossbones Electric Bass Guitar:

I have been using this bass for 5 months and playing bass for about 2 years and, I think it is the best bass I have used. I have used it at a few shoes out of my Fender amp and it is great. Also I have used a DigiTech Bass Wha with it and it still sounds great. If you are looking for a cheap bass with a nice expencive sound this is the bass you want to get.

Great Bass

Comments about Squier MB-4 Skull and Crossbones Electric Bass Guitar:

I just got this bass a couple days ago and it is awesome! It sounds pretty good for a begginer bass guitar. The look of it with the skull-and-crossbones along with the price, this is one of the best basses out there.

By Just nobody

Comments about Squier MB-4 Skull and Crossbones Electric Bass Guitar:

I tought i just want a fancy bass with low pricetag, so i grab this one. Then when i reach home, i did a couple of mods, changed the strings to Rotosound's, change the pickups to Baselines SPB-1, then it came alive!!! Great bass to play with, and hard to stop playing...

Squier? MB-4 Skull and Crossbones Electric Bass

By K-theReaper

from Monroe, NC

Comments about Squier MB-4 Skull and Crossbones Electric Bass Guitar:

The Squier? MB-4 Skull and Crossbones Electric Bass Guitar is a great bass for any aspiring artist. This bass is nice to hear, and nice to look at. The highlites on the outside of the bass are its skulls. One placed on the body, and one placed on the twelth fret(see picture). And even with these outside features, fender still made this bass playable for stage performances(unlike any BCrich products, which are easy on the eyes, but lack in performance). Backed by its 3 pickups, it has a great sound, one that is expected, but not recieved from most basses. Its three knobs, for tone, bass boost, and volume make it acsentuate on-the-beat. This bass is good for any player, those who like the melodic tones of a low, behind the seens bass sound, or even those who like the stylings of the "Red Hot Chili Peppers". Playing slap on this bass will not hurt it at all either. So if you are looking for a good, breathe taking, eye opening bass, I would definitly recomend buying The Squier? MB-4 Skull and Crossbones Electric Bass Guitar.

Blown Away!

By Zakk

from Georgia

Comments about Squier MB-4 Skull and Crossbones Electric Bass Guitar:

This thing blew my mind. I just can't get over how smooth it is, and how crisp the sound is. It just pops out at you like "whoa!" I really have to give this bass it's props. I recommend it to anyone wanting a terrific bass. The three knobs on it for volume, pickup, and tone control are a plus, helping you get that crispy tone out of the bass. All in all, this bass is a tool of pure awesomeness. Get it, now!

Great Starter Bass

By Nick

from New Jersey

Comments about Squier MB-4 Skull and Crossbones Electric Bass Guitar:

First off, i got this a couple of years ago as a starting bass because i made the switch from guitar to bass and let me tell you, the sound on this is wonderful. At first, i was skeptical because most of my friends looked down upon Squiers because they though that they were cheaply made but let me tell you this bass is anything but. It was a great starting bass and it is DEFINITELY worth more than the price it is listed for. In addition, the paint job on it is great along with the vicious looking skull in the fretboard and on the body. This bass will play anything and still sound great. Go Out And Get It!!!

A realatively good bass for the price.

By Will

from Montgomery Al,

Comments about Squier MB-4 Skull and Crossbones Electric Bass Guitar:

This my very first only bass I have had. It sounds really good and won't let you down but when you play and pluck the string a little more than normal then the 4th string slaps the fret-board like crazy. And it does buzz a good bit on the frets when you hold them. It's also pretty heavy. After playing for about 15 to 30 min. it starts to kill my shoulder. Besides all that it has great quality for the price. You can make a very wide variety of sounds with it. It's very easy to play as well with pretty small frets. It's got a good sound and an even better looking body and I would recommend this bass for most bassists for beginners or not.
