better than i thought it would be!

By RAY LUBINSKI

i bought this bass about 3 months ago, and i gotta say, wow, it sounds so much better than you would expect for a Squier. not to mention its got that nice natural finish! being left handed is very hard when it comes to getting instruments. its even harder when youre a left handed bass player and i wouldnt wish that on my worst enemy. anyways, i got this fresh out of the box and i plugged it into an Ampeg amp at my Guitar Center and was blown away. the tone sounds great and the pickups are some of my favorites. i put some rnie Ball mediums on it and they sound really nice, but im looking to get some flatwounds because i generally play music with some jazz added in the mix. its a little on the heavy side for a jazz bass though. i dont mind, it sounds a helluva lot better than my old Ibanez! my only complaint, and this is probably just a factory error, my G string machine head is very stiff and it takes a second to tune it. other than that, i love it. i couldnt ask for a better bass for the price. it sounds good on a Fender 110 watt amp, an Orange 100 watt, and a Peavey 100 watt as well.

Awesome!!!

By Sean

It sucks being a lefty because your options are very low. I needed a bass and I really like the Fender Jazz Bass styles, but I couldn't afford a $1,300 instrument. So I decided to give this one a try. WOW! Everything about this bass is great. The neck is very playable, the weight of it was perfect, and the price was amazing! I put some flatwound strings on this thing and off I went. Highly recommended.
