the guitar is good. but it is very light i like more heavier guitar. but the fret board is nice the action is good. but i would not put heaver string on this guitar i would stick with 9's or 10's not heaver than that. but other way this guitar is worth every penny.
I picked one of these up almost new but barely used for a steal, It had been modded with a SD 59' in the neck and a SD JB in the bridge and the tremolo had been blocked. I was amazed by the sound - all kinds of tones in this thing. I have D'Addario 9's on it which sound good on this guitar, but I'll put a set of Dunlops on when the time comes. I use a VOX VT30 and a Marshall AVT 150 with a Groove Tube upgrade halfstack and both work very well. I've heard these without the mods done and they are nice, but I would suggest the pup upgrade and defiantly change the strings to better ones.
I bought this guitar when I was sorta low on cash, and have had it for 3 years and its taken a beating, everything from excessive use of the tremelo bar to slammed against my halfstack repeatedly and it never comes out of tune and sounds great too. I would recommend to anyone looking to buy a guitar for the first time or needs a cheap guitar..
This is a wonderful guitar and is very underpriced for its features. The short scale neck is a dream to play with great fret profiles that are easy to handle. The pickups, even though they are not name brand, are perfect for this guitar and offer a wide range of tone, color, and volume. The tremolo needed a slight bit of adjustment to be able to stay in tune when using it, but what guitar doesn't? The paint job was flawless and is very crisp. The Jagmaster is a amazing guitar and is well worth the money.
I've been playing music professionally for 10 years, and you know, I was extremely surprised by this guitar. I was so caught off guard by the classic vibes that had come out and I saw this and I had no idea Fender was making budget jazzmasters. I gave it a try, and these things are built like tanks. Definitely swap out the pickups and get a few more springs added to the tremolo, but I mean, for the money of a stock guitar, this thing is gold. I would definitely recommend this guitar to any beginners, experienced players or anyone who's interested in a good starter project. YES, there are better guitars out there, but this one holds its own for the price.
you cant find a better guitar from squier! i bought this as my first electric guitar and its amazing, its a good size, a good weight and an amazing sound! if you want a nirvana sound, you might need to buy a few different pedals, but this guitar is great! I got a fender telecaster thinline and this guitars sound is almost the same if not better! if you are looking for a fender guitar, with a cheap price, go with the jagmaster!
I have used many Squier guitars, but they are not of very good quality. But the Jagmaster is different! It's quality matches the ones of regular Fender Guitars. The pickups are amazing, and the Sunburst color is beautiful. This is my favorite guitar and I still play it more than my other Fender guitars.
This guitar is amazing! I love it! I've had it for about a year now and I never want to stop jamming on it every time i play on it. I played acoustic for about 2 years and then decided to start on electric, some guys were selling guitars and they showed my the jagmaster. I played on it for about 5 minutes and fell in love. I see no flaw in it at all. Even though it it doesnt have a 22, 23, or 24 fret, I still like to shred and play hot solos on it. The duncan humbucker pick-ups are so nice that i cant explain how good they are. The pick-ups get into such a hot zone that I feel like I can do anything and that guitar. Even though its squier, I dont see it as a student guitar.
I had been playing an acoustic fender froma starter pack for around 8 months and I decided I wanted an electric guitar. I was browsing through all the online guitar sites, and this guitar made me do a double take. I couldn't believe that this guitar was in my price range! Its a very good-looking guitar. Sounds good with anything. I have a used peavey blazer amp probly from the 90's, and it makes it sound great. Its great for clean strumming and distortion. I still sometimes just look at it sitting in my room. Very beautiful. I am most likely going to upgrade to a gretsch electromatic pro jet or a junior jet 2 but this is still going to be played. Its very good. If you are looking for a guitar that can do it all and is pretty cheap go for the jagmaster.
When i got this guitar i didn't have high expectations for it. I thought it would be your average Squier trash. It wasn't. It has an amazing feel it's amazingly strong and the stock pickups sound awesome! But i did proceed to Replacing them with Seymour Duncan JBs. I recomend this guitar for anyone from newbie to expert.
