This is a very good looking and playing guitar once several adjustments are made. I have the arctic white one. After taking it out of the box and tuning it, I found that the intonation was way off after playing a couple chords. After adjusting the length of the strings at the bridge and filing some of the string slots on the nut a little deeper, I have it playing fairly well. I still am a tad sharp on the 3rd and 5th fret on the E and A string depending on how hard I press the strings against the frets, but all chords sound in tune. I changed the pickguard to a Fender tortise shell. The pickups, switch, and pots fit perfectly. I did have a couple holes not perfectly lined up and only had to drill the hole at the bottom next the the second tone knob. The tortise shell looks good against the white/slight creamy color. I will be putting some vintage 6 on a plate tuners from guitarfetish when they come in as the stock tuners have a lot of play in them. They can hold a tune for a little while depending on how hard you strum or bend and pick. The stock pickups actually sound pretty good. I will know more once I get the amp I want. I am just playing through a basic 1x12 solid state 2 channel amp right now and am eager to play this through a class A tube amp. Overall, this is a good guitar to have around the house for jamming.

I went to guitar center to try out a few guitars and ended up purchasing this one. its nice and light...the sunburst color is awesome. i played it in the store and the sound was great. i got one out of the box since i didnt want to take one of the ones that were on the floor since other people have played them...i was so happy to get home and play my new guitar...i unboxed it and right off the bat i noticed the back had a scratch on it..the the tuners are popping out of the guitar...paint is chipped near the neck...this isnt the first fender product i purchased that had an issue right out of the box...my epiphone sg i purchased a few years ago was flawless when i unboxed it...ill be taking this back to exchange for another one...

Comments about Squier Bullet Stratocaster HSS Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

You really get what you pay for. Needed a new backup guitar and decided to go the cheap route. Out of the box it sounds awful, get it setup and frets polished and you get a decent sound. If you're a beginner this guitar is perfect, quick neck and decent pickups. Am probably going to give it to my son to learn with, doesn't really cut it for experienced players.

I bought the brown sunburst model. After a little setup and intonation, it plays beautifully with good tone and sustain. It's my go to guitar now. The finish is nice and the hardware is decent, can't beat it for the price.

Comments about Squier Bullet Stratocaster HSS Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

Saw this used in a guitar store, ridiculously low price, so I decided to check it out. The neck was really straight with a very slight relief bow. Perfect! I said wth. I was really there for hook-up bundled cable for mixing board to audio interface. Bought this guitar also for small change. The least expensive guitar I've ever bought. Mine is some sort of enigma, I guess one of the older Bullet Strats. It has that stripe down the back of the neck like some of the more expensive models. This stripe is where a piece of wood is inserted and glued that is arched so the truss rod fits snuggly in it's groove and doesn't bind. I don't see these type of Squirer Bullets listed anymore??? Anyway, this guitar was used, barely. Still had the protective clear plastic coat on the pick guard. Got it home, played it for a bit, then made some needed adjustments to the intonation and string heights. The tuning machines were really tight, anyone got a torque wrench? But they stay in tune really well even after using the tremolo. Played the guitar through the mixing board, no EQ, no effects and listened to it thru the monitors, which are way flat (real time analyzed). All by itself this guitar has really nice tones. Wouldn't say it would be the best for heavy metal shredding, but for blues, classic rock, alternative rock ( kind of stuff I mostly play), it sounds great. I found myself using mostly the bridge humbucker or the bridge/middle pick-up the most. Nice clear highs and a warm sounding bottom. I then plugged it into a Vibro Champ small tube amp. Real nice. Pushed the tubes a bit and got that Eric Clapton like sound. For a beginner, this would be a great first guitar. The action is good, the sound is good and it's fun to play. Cosmetically, it's pretty good too (mine is the sunburst). As you can tell, I really like this guitar. For the price it was a great buy. I have lots of guitars, but believe it or not, this is now one of my favorites.

Comments about Squier Bullet Stratocaster HSS Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

I bought this guitar about a year ago, it was my first Electric, and I must say its taken me a long way. The pickups are ok... my neck pickup barely gives off any signal, and the humbucker is a very loud, gainy, sort of thing that doesn't sound very thick. And really there's no difference in sound with both the middle and humbucker or just the middle, same with the neck and middle. Those might just have been problems with mine. I would more prefer one from the Affinity series, or Classic Vibe. in conclusion buy this guitar if your in a strict budget, if not go for something higher.

Comments about Squier Bullet Stratocaster HSS Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

Got one of these bullets just after christmas when they had a price drop on them. Out of the box it will most likely not be playable as far as it being in tune and intonated properly which was expected. After adjusting the truss rod for proper neck bow, bridge saddles for string heigth, moving the saddles forward or backwards for strenth length, I still had some intonation problems. Playing a G chord the low G note was going a half a note sharp. It was in between G and G#. Other chords had the same problem, it was not isolated to just the 6th string. So I ordered a new Graph Tech Tusq nut for it. I did have to shim the new nut as it was not as tall as the original, but now the intonation is near perfect. This is probably the best intonated guitar I have ever had after this fix. I have had higher end guitars that this was not a big problem, they were not off enough to change the nut. I also put in a 6 on a bar vintage tuners from GFS that fit perfectly and stays in tune. Due to the smaller size of the holes for the tuners, you have to get the vintage size so you don't have to drill them bigger. These two upgrades are necessary for this guitar to be gig worthy. The bridge is good, but will possibly put some new saddles either stainless or the ones with rollers. The electronics as a whole are very good. The switch and knobs are smooth. The pickups for the most part have that strat sound. I find them to be a little on the harsh to shrill sound though. The neck and middle pickup give you a nice clean sound and can handle a little overdrive, but do not sound good to me heavily overdriven. However the humbucker bridge pickup sounds great heavily overdriven and it sounds good clean as well. Next I will be getting a GFS prewired pickguard that has the Alnico V pickups installed which is the type used in vintage strats. They should have a warmer less shrill sound. I will probably just get the standard sss to make this into a standard vintage strat. I know i've rambled on, but if you are a beginner and do not have experience with working on a guitar, you will have to take it to a guitar shop that can get it set up and change those parts out. With the tuners and nut I do not have much invested in this guitar, so for me it was a great buy. Bottom line is with a couple of other upgrades I may do I will have a great playing and sounding guitar that cost no way near an american made fender. Don't get me wrong, becuase I would like to have one, but quality control is still a hit or miss on a guitar no matter what the cost and I for sure do not have a thousand to spend. Another nice little note is on the VHT special 6, a low cost handwired tube amp that pairs really nice with a strat.

I bought one of these a few years ago and thought it was pretty good for the cost. Wanted another with a humbucker so I ordered this one. I thought it would not be as good because I got lucky with the last one. I was wrong! This thing is great! You get what your pay for but it sounds good, neck is good, very, very light guitar. Fun guitar, love it.
