Best Guitar In Price Range By Far

By Jake Kassuba

from Mount Pleasant, Michigan

I have owned this guitar for over a year now and I can still say that I am very impressed with this axe. For the guitarist on the budget, this is definitely the best in the price range. Of course having it being licensed by Fender, I expected this Squier guitar to have great quality and it lived up to that standard. This guitar feels absolutely great. Sitting down since it has the classic strat body, it feels very comfortable. As for the actual feel on the guitar, I was once again blown away. The weight is just right and even though this was crafted in Indonesia, it does not effect the quality whatsoever. Of course your axe needs to look sweet and this guitar certainly does. I personally have the brown sunburst and it looks very great. It doesn't scratch easy and it cleans up very nice. When a friend of mine looks at the guitar on first sight without looking at the head, they mistake it for an official Fender Strat which I find pretty sweet! Now on to what really matters, the sound. Right when I first picked this up in my local Guitar Center I was utterly impressed by the sound that it has. I was looking for a guitar that I could emulate a lot of different playstyles and music genres on and this is the absolute perfect guitar in this price range to do so. It can pump out any classic guitar riff and it can tackle some metal because of the humbucker. I play Chili Peppers, Modest Mouse, Pink Floyd, and Metallica on this and it tackles all different styles great. After a year of owning it, it has shown no signs of lost quality. My only complainant with this guitar is after playing very aggressive for around 20 minutes, it does slowly start to phase out of tune. It is no reason the knock off a star though because for one, the price and two, it is a very easy fix. After owning the guitar for around 3 months I purchased some new Fender tuners for it and now it stays in tune great. To anyone that wants to add an electric to their collection or anyone that just wants a quality guitar to play on a budget, this is definitely for you.

Amazing Sound for the price!

By jody anderson

from Bridgeton, NJ

I have been playing guitar for about 20 years. just recently my Fender Jaguar fell off of its stand and cracked by the neck. Until I get it fixed, needed a backup guitar. Got this bad boy on an impulse buy, while it was on sale for $89.00. Tried in store, and it sounded pretty decent. Brought her home and plugged into my half stack, and all I can say is WOW! No way did I ever imagine it would sound anything like it does. Humbucker is all right, will probably replace with something better, but the single coils blew my mind. Very warm yet twangy sound, and sounds awesome on a clean channel. If you're tight on cash, this one is def. worth every penny. Very impressed.

This Squier Bullet Stratocaster HSS Electric Guitar with Tremolo is a well crafted guitar.I have always wanted A Fender guitar and with my budget this Squire is the one I could afford.I will tell you for A $130 guitar thing sounds awesome the Humbucker pick ups make it worth it. People who say you can't get A metal sound out of A Squire are wrong.I would tell anyone to buy it.

Great Starter Guitar

By Jeremy DeBose

from Louisiana

The only guitar I'd owned was a cheap one from the Superstore, and it was nothing special. I decided to finally upgrade without spending hundreds of dollars, and I am 100% sure I made the right choice. The price was great for a great looking and great sounding guitar that didn't need much setting up. It keeps tune pretty well considering I've got the bridge floating. The factory strings were actually good and it took some serious bending to finally make the high E break(purposely, to add new strings). It sounds great, even hooked up to a cheap amp. I feel like I can be David Gilmour in no time!

nice strat

By James Redick

from West Sunbury Pa.

I've wanted a strotocaster for a long time, but could'nt afford it. I always felt that Squier was to generic, not a real " strat ". But the more I looked at the picture, and thought, Boy it looks like a fender, I know Fender makes squire, but it says Squire not Fender on the headstock, and for the price, what the heck, not alot. When it came,I checked it over , nice and shiny no scratches (brown sunburst, pretty) a little bump on the back of the neck up at the top, not perfectly glass smooth but i'll fix that, the action looked good, so I plugged her in. Felt and sounded great. Recommend it, yea, good strat.

Awesome Strat for the Price!

By Jordan Mills

from Lenexa, Ks

Im 13 years old, but I'm in love with music. i play tons of instruments, and I'm in a band that plays gigs all the time. So far, probably my best guitar is a Martin DC Aura. I purchased this guitar, because I already Had/have a Les Paul and a Tele, but i didn't have anything real good for blues like SRV. I looked around for a good Strat, and this is what I came across. I was a little bit worried about this guitar, that it wouldn't be great, but this guitar is awesome! I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised with the tone and quality of this guitar! I found a sunburst model with an ebony neck, and it's visuals are absolutely stunning. The pickups aren't the world's best, but I have some EMG's I'm gonna replace them with, or get some 50th anniversary pickups. I play through a Mesa-Boogie F50 (and sometimes a Fender Deville) and my custom pedal board. It sounds great with all these little effects i can add, but even just straight through the amp, you have a great tone to play some SRV or Eric Clapton or some John Mayer! I HIGHLY recommend this stratocaster!

Wow!

By brian nelson

from coloma Mi.

I bought this guitar as a back-up guitar, but when i set it up and played it I found that is plays just as good as my Squier Standard! And it sounds BETTER! I don't know if it was a fluke or what but these pick-ups are H-O-T! The neck feels great and the finish is beautiful. For an inexpensive guitar it's amazing. The only complaint I have is the lack of the 22nd fret that I'm used to, but i think i'll be able to get past that.

Arrived for pickup At Guitar Center

By Henry Alvarez

from LIC NY

I ordered this by phone for Christmas, but since my son always comes home before me, I was afraid the guitar would arrive in a box with a picture on it giving the surprise away. I had shipped to Guitar center, worked out great. I picked it up from the store 3 days later, and took it home to wrap quietly. Guitar seems sturdy. No blemishes. The quality is pretty good. Don't forget to buy a guitar stand for it or you will be picking it up off the floor. I also got the 2 year warranty. I hope never to use it. Would buy again
