This is a great guitar for the price. I have had mine for around 3 years now and still, it plays like it did the first time I picked it up. I DEFINITELY recommend getting new strings because the ones that come on the guitar will rip your fingers to shreads. It does come out of tune fairly easily so if you're a beginner I would invest in a tuner, and there is also a slight bit of buzzing from the strings occasionally but nothing too serious. This guitar is perfect for beginners, even to intermediate players as well. Like I said, I have had this guitar for over 3 years, and it still players beautifully, and it surprisingly has that rich Fender tone. For the price, this guitar cannot be beat, if you're just starting, or don't want to break your budget, this guitar is definitely the way to go.

I got this guitar about a year ago, and I used it to start learning how to play. It's a great guitar, and I learned all the basics on it. However, there are some problems, but that's to be expected. It has trouble staying in tune. The tremolo system is ok, but uncomfortable. The tone knobs don't do anything. The fretting looks a little unfinished. I do recommend this guitar to anyone who is interested in learning guitar, but can't afford something to pricey. I congratulate squier for there pretty decent workmanship.

It is a Fender!!!

By Efrem

from Chicago

Comments about Squier Bullet Strat with Tremolo:

This is my first guitar. I didn't want to pay a lot for something I may not touch again. I got the instructional DVD and music book and could not be happier with my choice. It is light, the finish is beautiful, and I cant seem to put it down! I even let some friends who have been playing for years mess around with it. They all told me I made an excellent choice. It may be a Sqier, but it has the soul of a Fender. You cant go wrong with this one!!

Cant beat it!

By Phil

from Florida

Comments about Squier Bullet Strat with Tremolo:

This is my first electric guitar. I got mine used. Put new strings on it and paired it up with a line 6 spider 3 15 watt amp and I can get any sound that I want out of it. Seems to be much easier to play than my acoustic guitar. Pair it up with a good amp and your set! Great buy.

My New Favorite

By Nathaniel

from Ohio

Comments about Squier Bullet Strat with Tremolo:

The balance of this guitar is amazing. I've spent almost 6 years trying to find just the right body weight and neck scale, and this guitar is it. I can't find a thing about this guitar I don't like. I used all my distortion pedals and my small clone on this one, and tried a few different amps, and I had no troubles with achieving my sound on any of them(which is a rare treat for me, since I'm very picky on settings). I didn't have to tweak my settings with this guitar, but I did anyway, cause I found I could get more out of it than I thought. I recommend having at least one of this model in your guitar arsenal. I myself am definitely going to forge the bulk of my guitar arsenal out of this model.

Buy this guitar... you won't regret it!

By Blake Kennedy

from Tulsa, Ok

Comments about Squier Bullet Strat with Tremolo:

This is a great guitar. It has awesome tone from the bridge and middle pickups for a smooth and bluesy sound. I bought this guitar to learn how to play the blues. I got it home, hooked into the amp was extremely impressed. I began playing a little S.R.V. "Lenny" and was amazed at the tones i was getting from this guitar. The harmonics are also a big positive from this guitar. This is my first strat, before this i was playing les paul series guitars and mainly heavy riffs and screaming highs. With my les paul i have to really smash the frets to get a good clean sound; i have the strings set at 3/64 on both my les paul and this strat and with this strat you bairly have to touch the strings to get that nice clean smooth sound. I highly recomend this guitar for beginners. If you are looking to buy this as your first guitar let them set it up in the store for you. The different ways of setting strats can be complicated, but don't let that blemish your decision, the people at guitar center will happily help you set it up to your liking. And for intermediate players this guitar is fun and impressive. The only complaint Ihave is the tuning machines. But, i don't care if i have to tune it every time i set down to play it(which i don't), this guitar is unbeatable and without a doubt the best money I have spent on a guitar to date.

Not just a "starter" guitar

By Paul E.

from NYC, NY

Comments about Squier Bullet Strat with Tremolo:

This Bullet Strat is an outrageous deal. The neck alone is worth more than the price of the guitar. The body is worth more than the price of the guitar. So how can you lose? I've been playing guitar for 30 years, and believe me, this Bullet sounds great and plays great. And anyone who thinks this is just a "starter" guitar is being foolish. If you don't believe me, go on Youtube and you'll see what an experienced player can do with this baby. Don't believe me? Check out this forum and you'll see that other experienced players recognize the quality of this instrument. http://www.strat-talk.com/forum/squier-strat-forum/308-bullet-love.html I bought a sunburst one for my step-son last Xmas, and now I'm going to buy myself a Daphne blue one. The only mod I'm thinking of is a nut replacement....and maybe a tuner upgrade, but that's just a maybe.

An excellent guitar at any price!

By John C.

from Tacoma, Washington

Comments about Squier Bullet Strat with Tremolo:

I've been playing for 20 years now, and I've owned the off white Squier Strat for 6 months. Out of the box it was a very nice looking guitar, and played very good. I put new tuning keys on it, and spend the time to get the intonation perfect, now, it's a great guitar. I have a $600 Jackson which doesn't sound as good as this one. The intonation is spot on, which means the neck is really well made, and to very close tolerances. Don't listen to people who say this guitar has alot of noise from the pickups. It has no more noise than any other single coil guitar. You really need to use a noise gate with a single coil pickup. I would recommend this guitar to any skill level player. I love it, it's my favorite guitar right now. P.S. Get yourself some tremolo lube, and lubricate the saddles and nut. This is a non-locking tremolo, and just like the vintage Fender Strats, it will go out of tune unless you keep everything sliding smooth.

WOW! NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By josh

from ohio

Comments about Squier Bullet Strat with Tremolo:

bought this guitar brand new from the local guitar shop but wow.first, the neck is really loose. even though it is on tight. when you handle the neck the sound gets wacky. second, the tremelo is very cheap when you use it the guitar goes out of tune. third, the tuners dont help keep the guitar stay tuned they detune very easily. and the pickups were horrible they were very noisy and tinny sounding. the selector switch when moved you could tell you could hear it click from down the hall. the fretboard felt like i was playing in a box of sand it was very hard and gritty. the best part of the guitar was the paint an that wasnt really great either. maybe it was just this guitar but i say dont buy it look for something else spend a little bit more. i ended up selling it for 20 bucks an felt bad because i should have gave it away. i didnt even want to give it 1 star.

SICK GUITAR!!!

By Impulseguitarist

from Sterling, VA

Comments about Squier Bullet Strat with Tremolo:

I've had this guitar for several months now, and let me tell you, it is absolutely amazing! Its unbelievable that anyone would sell it for such a low price. I can go crazy on it and bring out hard core metal or settle down and just play it clean with an awesome sound. Beginner, advanced or expert, this guitar will suit your needs. I play in a band called Impulse, and its amazing. We're a new band so we don't have much stuff, but this guitar works great with anything that we play.

Simply AMAZING!!

By Joe

Comments about Squier Bullet Strat with Tremolo:

all I can say is, WOW. This is the first guitar I've bought, but not the first I've played. I came from the guitar background of a awesome '59 fender musicmaster, which is basically the best guitar you can inherit in my opinion. But this thing? JEEZ! It's simply AMAZING! Me and my band love the wammy bar, and it's ability to be great for distortion and clean playing. Personally, I don't dislike this a bit. I recommend this to any beginners, but it's a great guitar in general.

Great but not for everyone......

By JonG

from Orange, CA

Comments about Squier Bullet Strat with Tremolo:

Don't get me wrong, this is an awesome beginner guitar and is a steal at the price it is. My only concern is that you should get some kind of preamp or effects pedals because it seems like this guitar sounds a bit acoustic. It has a softer tone and isn't that good for hard rock or metal.

Overall best guitar I've ever seen!

By Isaac Lamb

from Pendleton, IN

Comments about Squier Bullet Strat with Tremolo:

Someone may tell you that squier is a mere shadow of Fender, but they'd be wrong. This guitar, while it has the price of a Squier, is as good as a regular Fender. The sound quality is unbelievable for its price. It looks beautiful, and it's more durable than any guitar I've seen yet. It takes a long time to "detune". As the title said, this is the overall best guitar I've seen for its price. P.S. get it in sunburst or black.
