I had bought this guitar a few weeks ago because I was getting into the blues music and wanted something cheaper than a Fender Strat. I came across this beautiful guitar at the store, tested it out and loved how it felt in my hands. I was a bit skeptical at first because knowing Squier is a Japanese brand along with Epiphone but I was blown away with how comfortable it feels and how great the tone is. The only thing that I don't like about it is the really thin feeling strings but that is just me, I'm so used to playing my Epiphone that's got thicker strings on it. It will take some getting used to but overall I love this guitar and recommend it to anyone who's in the market for a good priced electric.

The guitars nowadays are just so well done in constructions compared to a decade ago. Made in China products are not to be disregarded just like that. This guitar is well made, construction, sounds good, and it's more than enough for someone that will start playing the guitar. I love the colors. Pros: well made, sounds good, colors. Cons: the frets sticks out to the arm a little bit.

      A disappointing experience...

Comments about Squier Bullet HSS Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I purchased a new Squier Bullet in metallic green through the Guitar Center website. When it arrived, the box had a big hole in it. Strangely, it was a Gibson branded box, not a Squier. It turns out that the guitar came from the nearest GC store, not a GC warehouse. It did not include the original packaging/paperwork/tremolo spring/allen wrenches that it should have and I have no reason to believe it was a new item. I suspect that it was an in store demo. The guitar had large cracks in the neck pocket. When I contacted the GC that shipped the guitar and asked them to provide a return shipping label, they never did so. I ended up wasting money by having to return it in store. This experience, as well as others I've recently had with Guitar Center, have made me very wary of buying anything from them.

I forgot how much I liked strats. I really like the way it looks, feels, and plays. I have 2 baritone guitars with thick strings and am kind of 'over it' at the moment. This is comfortable, sounds good, and I think the neck width is perfect for me. I have pretty large hands, but it doesn't feel too small in them. I put 10-52 strings on... sounds great clean and with distortion. Well worth the price. I've spent a lot more on guitars way worse.

Minor shipping fiasco aside, It's a great guitar for the price. I would not hesitate to recommend a Bullet Strat to any beginning musician. I have already ordered some Tex-Mex Pickups and upgraded electronics (strictly personal preference) for mine, but the built in items are certainly good for someone just learning, and the low initial cost makes for an awesome base for modding.

This Squire looks great and sounds great. The neck is really nice and fast. Everything is solid and well made. It plays pretty good without doing anything but tuning it. I had to set the intonation which is easy to do with one of the many online videos out there on the subject. I think you would benefit from a professional set up as well to make everything perfect. Anyone can learn guitar on this model without feeling like the guitar is holding them back. The quality is really good.
