Comments about Squier Affinity Stratocaster Electric Guitar with Rosewood Fingerboard:
I am a beginner guitar player, and have been looking for my first electric guitar to settle with and learn on. I originally got the Vintage Sunburst Squier strat, and at first was satisfied, until I had it home for about a week and noticed four frets in a row, appeared to be worn down on the ends.(It was as if they were ground down lower than the other frets). After having to return my first guitar I didn't want to see that, but I couldn't ignore it, so I reluctantly had to return that one also. So, finally, when I was at the store returning my second guitar, I had the employee order a 2013 Lake Placid Blue Squier Affinity Strat shipped direct from the distribution center to my house. It arrived in about three days in Excellent New condition. Now, this guitar is ultimately what I wanted my beginner electric guitar to be. The fit and finish is excellent for the price, the tuners do their task well, it stays in tune for days instead of hours, and even when I have to tune it, it isn't off by much. The neck is smooth and appears high quality, there are no issues with the frets on this one, the tone is what I wanted for my practice guitar. I can get a good clean tone, which is what I wanted to learn on. I have heard other guitar players who are way more experienced than I play this, and I know what it is capable of when I progress through my guitar learning. Hopefully this review is helpful to others looking for a decent inexpensive, electric guitar.
