I have had this pack for amost a year and I'm still amazed with how good the guitar sounds. I put fender super bullets on it and sounds great. The cable was poor quality, but the amp sounds great, good picks, and the strap is very comfortable. I would recommend this pack to beginner and advanced players. It is good for band practice.
This setup is good for anyone just buying a guitar on a limited income. It gives you an ok guitar and a decent amp, but you do get what you pay for. The guitar itself has a lot of trouble with the neck. Mine tookfixing numerous times. It also has some trouble staying in tune (ESPECIALLY if you use a whammy). All in all good to start with, but won't last you forever. Once you start getting into higher levels of music, you'll have to buy a new guitar.
This is a great guitar for beginners or first time guitar buyers. The cable that comes with it sucks, i would most definitly buy a new one. The amp is pretty good, I mean come on, how much do you expect from a 15watt amp. But I would recommend it for beginners. Be a smart dude, and get it if you are just starting out.
My freind got this. its an awsome beginning guitar. the amp thats in package really blows tho. it shorts out a lot and isnt loud, but the guitar is pretty kwl. definatly a starter set and a great deal.
Okay not a horrible guitar,BUT, you could get a beter guitar for cheaper even with all the equpment. The biggest thing with the bullet is that it couldnt stay in tune over night. a better guitar are the lower end dean's ecpesily the evo em. if u just want the guitar because it's convenent.....get a tuner.....and lots if batteries
This was my first ever electric guitar i got it for my 12th birthday this pack is great for begginers but if you are a skilled player or have experience do not get this one if you are a begginer this is for you!
This is a great package to have to start. I've played a little on and off since I was 12, and I've decided to get really serious about learning to play again and this Squire is great for me. After I tuned it down a half step and set the distortion levels with the amp, Metallica and Van Halen sound pretty good! I look forward to learning with this Guitar and Amp set every other day that I get home from work..
I had always dreamt of playing a guitar or rather just learn how to play one. I am thoroughly satisfied with both the strat HSS and bullet 150 DSP. The amplifier is more than enough for my learning needs and I hardly ever crank knobs other than the volume and gain controls. The guitar is simply awesome and sounds great. Though I must add I am finding the hard way that guitar is surely a tough instrument to play, I enjoy every minute I spend with the HSS and know that I am not going to stop playing anytime soon. True to the very last syllable, the "Fender Stop Dreaming, Start Playing" is just that! I recommend the series to anyone looking for an economical start up electric gear! keep rocking!!!!
This guitar is very good for any beginner just starting out. The tones you can get are good, especially if you are looking for a guitar tone with a grittier, dirtier sound (which is the main difference between the Strat and Strat HSS). The amp has a nice-sounding clean channel, but it also compliments the guitar well when you are playing harder rocking songs. If you turn gain up, detune your guitar 1/2 or a whole step, and switch to the humbucker pickup, you can get a great lead tone. The only downsides are the strap constantly falls off, and the strings that come with the guitar arent very good at all.
