I own 24 guitars, ranging from Ernie Ball, Peavey, Gibson, and Fender, but this little Tele is my favorite! I recently started getting pretty heavy into country and flatpicking and just wanted a tele mostly for the tone, and when I picked this little guy up...I was impressed. As far as the play-a-bility of the guitar, it matches my Wolfgangs and Axis. The durability is comparable to some of my high priced Gibsons. I'm leaving it stock....no need to change anything. The pick ups are fine, the neck is fast, and the hardware is good. I'm getting another one in a different color soon as I get some extra cash.

The body felt okay. I only tried it for a couple minutes. Like the title says, the frets are killer, but not the way you'd expect. From the second I picked it up, I knew that they had cut some corners. What I didn't know was that they had done this buy not cutting what really mattered. The frets. They were so sharp that I cut my thumb while feeling the neck. I swear these things could slice through my wrists (which I'd do if I had to play exclusively on this guitar for the rest of my life). The rest of the guitar felt decent for the price. This thing would make a good weapon though. A club and a sword in one.

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Special Electric Guitar:

I got this as a gift on 11-02-2016. Iy has stable tuning, great tone, and awesome playability. I was taken intp G.C. by my wife and told to pick out a guitar. I played mexi's and U.S. teles. This one caught my eye. The natural maple neck and fingerboard just stands out. Plug it into a hot rod deluxe tweed and boom it shines like a diamond. Dont spend hundreds too much, this is the tele to buy!

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Special Electric Guitar:

I went into a GC shop, tried it out and was amazed by the quality for the price. I returned home, saw reviews on YouTube and saw it was really a quality guitar for much less.
Got back the next day and grabbed it...
It has a great Tele twang, plays blues, country and rock with a unique tone. Highly recommended.
I think the pickups are very decent. The tuning pegs are great, it doesn't get out of tune.
I noticed that the edges of the frets might require mild filing and some of the saddles screws got loose in transit and required some adjustment. Afterwards didn't have any issues.

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Special Electric Guitar:

I own 6 other Telecasters, from a Standard Squier to a couple Partscasters and couple of MIM Standards and this guitar stands tall! It was given as a gift and I gigged it the same night ( It was given to me while I was on stage). The neck is smooth and nice, the frets beautifully finished and the intonation was spot on. I am a bit of a hobbyist and wanted to make this a fun machine and I upgraded the pickups ( twisted tele neck, 62 custom shop bridge) and replace the 500k pots with more appropriate 250k pots and a treble bleed and this really came alive! I have used it 2 times now onstage and it's a great guitar that is not as heavy as the others...great for a second set guitar! I would definitely buy another, they are cheaper than a replacement body! The finish is smooth and beautiful, I really dig this guitar!

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Special Electric Guitar:

I own 13 guitars now and the telecaster was my eigth. Up until my most recent purchase of number 13 this tele had no competition of being my abosolute favorite. Even now, its back and forth between this tele and a schecter thats worth over a thousand dollars. Ive found this guitar is good for any type of music you wanna play. Being a metal guitarist its not the typical metal guitar, but definetly plays well. Overall, this guitar is the best guitar for its price to play any type of music you want.

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Special Electric Guitar:

I played in several bands back in the 60's and 70's. After many years I felt the urge to pick up the guitar again and wanted one that fit my budget. The Squire Telecaster fits the mold of my original Fender Telecaster. Its an easy play and the location of the pickups gives it good tonal quality.

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Special Electric Guitar:

I really wanted my first electric after learning on an acoustic so around Christmas I asked my mom and sister to chip in so could get this guitar which was the cheapest electric guitar in the catalog. I had my dad who is a superior player check it out for me and he made sure there were no defects. I think this is the best starter electric available since it is very basic 2 pickups, one volume, one tone and a solid block of wood. I used this for my first gig and the audience was wowed by my playing and my sound. I was surprised the single coil could handle even metal chords and make it sound authentic. the unfinished maple neck makes for smooth transitions up and down the neck. my biggest complaint is that the saddle on low E has been going crooked since about a week into ownership. I suppose I could use a small truss wrench to fix it but every time I have tried to screw it back in it unscrews soon after. I have even tried putting a pick under it to hold it up but the pick falls out when I pluck the string. it doesn't make it unplayable but I don't think it looks good. I hope to eventually fix the bridge by adding a bigsby.

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Special Electric Guitar:

I've been playing fretted instruments for almost half a century and consider this Squier Tele the most satisfying guitar I've ever had. The action, intonation, neck, frets, sound, and aesthetics are all superb. And the price is unbeatable. My only criticism is that the single-coil pickups--and this seems to be true across the board--will give you some hum, so you have to point yourself in the right direction (or use both the neck and bridge pickups together) if you want to avoid that. We'll see how it ages, but so far it's an incredible axe.
