i just got this bass a little while back, and even though i outgrew it in like a week it's a really nice simple bass that will definetly stay in my inventory for a long time. this is a great bass for any style of music you want to play whether it be soul or metal. definetly the best starter bass for this amount of money. do not buy the sets that come with an amp an everything cause everything in it is poorly made

I bought this bass when i started playing, and at the time i thought it sounded great, when i didn't know any better. The tone controls barely affect the sound, and the input had to be repaired two weeks after i started playing it. It's good for beginners, but if you wanna get serious you'll have to find something much better.

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Bronco Bass Guitar:

I took lessons over a decade ago..and quit when I was really getting the hang of it. #regret.
Now I'm picking it up again..square one..so I put my full scale jazz bass down..and started relearning with this..so I wouldn't get discouraged. Glad I was told about this. I love the size and probably stick with short scale even as I advance.

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Bronco Bass Guitar:

I own 2 of these. I bought both used from the guitar center website. Once you adjust the bridge and the neck properly, they begin to be very usable instruments. I am a big fan of Lace pickups. I installed a lace sensor purple in one of these and the bass became more versatile after that. I could be wrong, but I believe that it's best to use the same size strings with this that it came with. I find that it's easier to get decent intonation that way. The lace sensor purple really took this bass to a much more professional level. I am able to get a much wider variety of usable sounds now. I have also found that my effects boxes like working with the lace sensor purple alot more than the stock pickup did. Owning 2 of these, I found one to be a little heavier than the other.

Cool little bass for the money.
            Records nice.
Fast neck and pretty good set up right out of the box.
Fine tune the bass with your own set up and you'll be good.

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Bronco Bass Guitar:

I've played regularly in 3 bands and I love it. It's not a bass to pick up and wail on, because it doesn't perform well like that. This bass will teach you cool control over the strings and tone. It's a great instrument to learn some string sensitivity on. If you level up after this one, you'll be in great shape.
Don't skip this because it's short and looks like a toy- these short scales can produce some great thumping tones. You can jam without wearing yourself out.

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Bronco Bass Guitar:

The highlight of this bass is the neck. Good profile and plays nicely. The bass stock is just okay. It really shines as a modding platform. Replacing the bridge with one that has individual saddle adjustments, swapping out the pickup for a strat rails pickup (10k or so preferred), putting on GHS pressure wounds and this becomes an excellent player with a noise free precision bass sound.

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Bronco Bass Guitar:

I'm just a kid who plays bass at my local church I needed one and I saw how the reviews said it was for beginners so I got it and I will tells you it's incredible I love how the neck feels it really smooth! I also really liked the pickup and the volume because I've always felt like those are the only two you need. Mine stays in tune very long I tune it every week and it's almost always really good. The body is really big but then again I'm really small hahaha! I would highly recommend this one to mostly beginners and intermediates it's a really cool bass if your thinking of buying I you should do it! Bye!

Amazed at this great little bass!

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Bronco Bass Guitar:

So, I probably scream mid life crisis walking in to the local Guitar Center and ask for the Bronco to be pulled off the wall. The sales associate sets me up with bass, amp and cable and excuses himself while I noodle away. A short while later, I'm approaching the register bass in hand and the associate smiles good naturedly at me and asks how long I've been playing, probably thinking the guitar is some bucket list wish of mine when I tell him 32 years, I'm just downsizing a bit and smile back. I've played and been paid on 4/8/12 stringers, lots of Fender Americans and MIMs, G&Ls and Warwicks, so, I know a bass. The Squier Bronco is the best thing going for the money, with no exception. A five minute set up later and she intonates and sounds wonderful. I'd play her anywhere as is. That being said, tuners are a weak point and will probably be replaced for too much lash, and I'm not a fan of the zingy, round wounds that will likely be swapped for my favorite flats. Still, an excellent instrument at this price point, I wish they had been around when I was 15 and starting out. I'd buy one in each of half a dozen colors if available.
