I got this bass for christmas. I was interested in learning to play bass so I asked for this one. I love this bass. I have had no trouble out of the guitar whatsoever. However the amp did stop working but I took it to the Guitar Center and they exchanged it no questions asked. This did leave wanting a bit more but it sounds great and I couldn't ask for much more.

For starter the price is somewhat ok. First off I am VERY picky and tighty type person. I take care of my stuff from day one. The cable that came with the bass started falling apart after 2 weeks. It cuts off allot and now I am going to buy some monster cable. The tuner is useful but it too isnt the greatest. Recommend you tune it somewheree quiet and not like at a concert where it picks up everything or sometimes nothing at all. The amp is a tad bit small but does its job as a beginner so if you plan on going insane, buy a better one. The bass itself is nice but the pickups sucks afterawhile and isnt always at its best. Ive only had this for 1 month and already I feel money was not well spent.

Comments about Squier Affinity Precision Bass Pack:

people, dont get this unless your a beginner with nothing. the bass itself is ok. the pickups arent very good, its been less than a year and they are already messing up. the amp is great but thats the only good part about it really. ive progressed alot on this bass but i just think it is too much mmoney for what you ultimately get out of it

This Bass is worth the money!!!

By Joey

Comments about Squier Affinity Precision Bass Pack:

I got this bass package about two years ago for X-mas and I'm not disappointed at all with it. I play for a local band and its been played at multiple show around Georgia, its been dropped multiple times and doesn't hurt it. The amp is perfect for practicing at home but had to buy a new amp for shows. All the other items are good as well the cable is very good it still works, and the tuner is just perfect. This is a great bass for beginners and anyone else.

Great bass

Comments about Squier Affinity Precision Bass Pack:

I got this bass for christmas and i love it. Its got good sound and feels great. Dont expect much from the strap. The amp is loud like it should be and it shakes the walls at 3. I thought the pickguard was scratched but it was covered with a plastic film. The finsh is amazing. I personaly love it but other people say it sucks. Its a great bass for the buck.

fender bass

Comments about Squier Affinity Precision Bass Pack:

i got this package a couple months ago, and i really like it. the guitar is great, and it sounds good with the amp in the package and the one i use at school for jazz band. the strap isnt great, and the tuner already broke. other than that, the bag, amp, and guitar rock! i would reccommend you buy this only if you need both the amp and guitar. otherwise, your better off buying them separately and getting better quality stuff

good bass for beginners

By Jordan

from Snellville, GA

Comments about Squier Affinity Precision Bass Pack:

I got this bass two years ago and it's good for pretty much all kinds of music I can think of. The only bad things I can think of are the cable isn't long enough, but you can just buy a longer one. Also, I don't like the input for the cable being on the front. It gets in the way, but that's just my opinion. Great overall.

Amazing

By Evan

Comments about Squier Affinity Precision Bass Pack:

I am a guitarist who wanted to learn bass guitar. I got this almost 2 years ago and it's still sounding very good. It's incredible with a good set of strings. It's perfect for begginers or intermediate players on a buget. Buy it now!

Steve Haris, Pete Wentz, and now YOU!

By Andrew Sandoval

from Covina, CA

Comments about Squier Affinity Precision Bass Pack:

Now you too could be an awsome bass player with this awsome bass. It has an awsome amp that gives my band the edge we wanted. Cant stress enough to say the amp on 2 shakes my walls but besides the point its perfect for every musician trying to learn bass. Unlike me who has been playing for about a year. Leave it up to fender to create an awsome bass like Pete Wentz and Steve Harris's.

great bass

By Austin

from St. Louis

Comments about Squier Affinity Precision Bass Pack:

this was my first bass i ever owned and it was pretty great. the strings are easily tuned and the pickup position are great for picking, plucking, and slapping. for such a small amp it actually gets pretty loud. i only have 2 complaint which are that theres alot of buzzing with the frets and when i first bought it the cable from the guitar to the amp didnt work so replace it immediately.

Great Pack

By Nick

from Groton, MA

Comments about Squier Affinity Precision Bass Pack:

I got this starter pack a year and a half ago, and it is absolutely wonderful. It's great for any beginner to bass. The accessories are good considering its a starter pack (get a working tuner though). The amp is sturdy and perfect for practicing. The bass tone control is very limited, but that shouldn't concern beginners. This is most definitely worth the money. You do need to replace it eventually. I've notice the action gets higher over time, and the strap and cable stop working, but this is awesome for beginning bassists. WELL worth the money spent.

Great Value

By stacandtony

Comments about Squier Affinity Precision Bass Pack:

I bought this pack for my 13 yr. old son. He wanted to start taking bass lessons and needed a bass and wanted a Fender. He couldn't be happier with it. All I had to do was buy the book his instructor uses, and he has everything he needs. Looks great, sounds great, overall - awesome!

Comments about Squier Affinity Precision Bass Pack:

i got this bass about 8 months ago, its only for beginners. it IS a good buy for the price, but only for the junk that comes with the bass. the amp is small, but gets the job done. the cord cut out, and the bass isnt very balanced, the parts have kept working, but i have to keep it on a high action because the frets are terrible, overall 3/5

Anyone Who Thinks This is a "Bad Buy" is NUTS!!

By Johnny Young

from Sapulpa,OK

Comments about Squier Affinity Precision Bass Pack:

I've had very good luck with this particular model of bass. For the price, you can't beat it, especially when you consider all the stuff that comes with it. Yes, it's a Beginner Bass, but that doesn't mean it's a "Bad Bass". If you want to know how to PROPERLY play Bass, then this is the way to go. No, you won't have good luck "shredding", but that's not how you LEARN, either. Anyone who thinks this is a Bad Buy is crazy as an outhouse rat. If you want to learn how to play and are on a budget, THIS is the outfit to get!

Perfect for beginners

By Mysterio

from Dayton, OH

Comments about Squier Affinity Precision Bass Pack:

If you are really considering playing for the first time, I could not recommend this beginner pack any more. The guitar plays flawlessly straight out of the box and looks way better than any of the others that I looked at. I have not had a single problem.

Great Beginner Bass

By Evan H.

from Bay Village, OH

Comments about Squier Affinity Precision Bass Pack:

I bought this during the presidents day sale, and was pretty happy. I was looking to buy the things I wanted separetly, but I saw this. It is my first bass, so i dind't want to spend a bunch of monet on a bass. I made a few modifacations, but overall it's a great deal. But if you have the money, buy a fender.

Comments about Squier Affinity Precision Bass Pack:

This was the first time I ever played bass and I loved this pack. The bass was a beginner level and was perfect for me. The amp was great for practicing and playing with friends, although at higher volume levels it gets quite a lot of feedback. The strap is uncomfterable as heck and the tuner came broken. The cable works fine and the DVD gives all the information you need.

Meh

By Peter

from Baltimore

Comments about Squier Affinity Precision Bass Pack:

I got this bass set as a complete impulse buy, and I really wish I had spent more time playing other basses. This bass is not very fun to play. The neck is very difficult to navigate, and its tone is very plain and boring. When I got an Ibanez 2 years later, I was amazed at the tone and playability I got for the same exact price.

A Great Starter Kit

By Kevin Bowles

from Midland, Virginia

Comments about Squier Affinity Precision Bass Pack:

I bought this for my daughter who wants to learn the bass guitar, and for the money thought the kit would be a good buy. I'm not a big fan of Squire, though I was impressed with the bass in this kit for a true beginner. I told her once she gets better I'll spring for a Fender. The first thing was replacing the cable and the strap. Both would be better suited for the Rock Band game and not a real instrument. As a life-time Strat player, only a real Fender is all I've ever known, even I am tempted to pick up the bass and give it a try and am pleasantly surprised by how easy it plays, especially with new strings, another thing that I learned a long time ago, replace the strings from the day you buy it. $300 for the kit and another $50 or so in a new cable, strap and strings, and I believe we got our money's worth. The amp is good for practicing at home, the headphones are also pretty good, which my daughter uses once and awhile and the amp sounds well built, though sucks at higher volumes. All in all I would recommend, but be willing to spend another $50 or so to replace the cable, strap and strings. The tuner isn't bad if you're alone, though be willing to replace at a later date or buy a better one with the kit, just be willing to drop another $100.
