don't get discouraged with the brand

a $100 guitar is no comparison for something that's worth $1000+. but for the price, this is really a great deal. some people might be thinking twice about spending on a cheap guitar that won't perform well, that's just wrong. the stock pickups are really good. the one i got didn't have that noticeable 60 cycle hum. pinch harmonics are well defined. the feel of this guitar is really like a telecaster (after all, this has been approved by fender quality control). if you're just starting out or you just want to have fun upgrading a guitar (which i did), get a squier. this guitar is pretty solid.

One of the best guitars out there

This guitar is one of the best guitars I have played in my life. The neck is like a dream, and is so much comfortable on your hands. The tuning never goes out. I have had this guitar stayed in tune for up to one month without locking tuners. The sound quality is great, and really adapts to any pedal you buy. Another words, it is a great guitar for any style. Definently a great buy.

Very nice guitar...

...for those with a tight budget. This tele stays together VERY well and is very sturdy. The pickups are solid, and I was surprised that they pick up pinch harmonics rather nicely. But the best thing about this guitar is that it stays in tune EXTREMELY well. I only have to tune it about once a week since I always play in standard. Though, the only problem I have had with it is the screws came loose on the bridge and came out on their own. But this problem was easily remedied by just screwing them back in tightly, and it hasn't happened since. DEFINITELY buy this guitar if you are low on cash.

Overall... very nice

The Squier Affinity Tele is a very nice guitar for the price. Do not expect to get the best guitar in the world. It is, however, a very nice starter guitar and puts out a good sound. I've had almost no problem with mine. It plays very nicely and has that traditional twang you expect from a telecaster.

Amazing Value

I hadn't played guitar for years, and a couple of years ago decided to spend a couple of hundred dollars on a guitar to see if I would get back into it. I played 3 or 4 guitars in the store, but when I played this one I was sold! It is a very playable and solid guitar, and had a great action and intonation. It holds its tuning very well, even when I bend a lot of notes, and in general is very comparable to a mid range Fender. My only really issue is that the pickups don't really give that Fender tone, but it's certainly a nice sounding guitar.
